Reckless Miles: A Small-Town Romance (The Miles Family Book 3)

Aaawww Cooper.... 'he's like a puppy on crack'
The quote about Cooper is from the next book but it is so true! He is an extraordinary character. Love the meeting between him & Amelia, when she is in the bar in her wedding dress after being left at the altar. Love his suggestion of a 'Coopermoon' (instead of Honeymoon). Love the fact that Amelia 'speaks Cooper' and is similar but different.Love the fact that the author, Claire, really tries to address what it is like for both the man & woman involved when a playboy meets a girl and wants to settle down but lives in a small town surrounded by all the girls he has 'had fun with' previously. How jealous it can make the new girlfriend. And something we don't often see.. how a playboy can regret his past choices. Love the mattress burning ceremonies which become a Miles family tradition! Cooper and Amelia couldn't be more opposite in terms of previous sexual experience, but Amelia's almost innocent curiosity, love of exploration & sense of playfulness make her perfect for Cooper.. (dick dressing up outfits?!). I just love Claire Kingsley's writing, her ability to create such different but hot male characters and how she can then imagine the perfect woman for each of the men.. women who bring out the best in their men, helps to calm and ground their men and always have lots of fun and lots of incredible sex... Claire's books give me a bright spot and some happiness on crappy days! Thank you

Once again true love succeeds
Wow this story took a detour into a surprising mystery with the situation with Cooper 's father being a villain. It turned out that Cooper and Amelia were destined to meet and be soul mates and find their happily ever after.

The best book in the series so far!
**WARNING… This book is part 3 of the Miles Family book series. It can be read as a standalone title but it is intended by the author to be read in order with the other books as part of a series. I very strongly suggest that you do read the first two books… not only because they are unbelievably awesome, but also because they give you such a depth to the characters that you will definitely fall in love with.**With every book series I read of Kingsley’s, I get a new favourite character… but without an overwhelming doubt, Cooper Miles is one of my all time favourite book characters. I absolutely and completely love this guy. He’s an awesome force of nature that just jumps off the page. The energy Cooper brings to every day is just magnetic and I adore the insatiable way that he loves every single person that he gives a piece of his heart to.I’ve loved Cooper’s character right from when I was introduced to him in the Bailey Brothers series. He’s like an excitable puppy. Everything is a mile a minute and his mouth runs off at full steam… which can often get him very misunderstood. Ok… so he’s a bit of a playboy. The ladies love him, but he’s never been one for commitment, however now his best friend Chase is married to Cooper’s little sister, Cooper is contemplating life and love a little more seriously… or as seriously as Cooper can take anything. So there’s no better timing for jilted bride Amelia to walk into his life. He finds her one night in his local bar. Bizarrely it’s not the huge white wedding dress that draws his attention to her, but the beautiful girl herself. There is a sadness in her eyes but something about her that makes him instantly curious. The more he learns about the intriguingly stunning girl in the wedding dress, the more he wants to put a smile back on her face.Amelia has never really known love or the notion of family. She’s grown up in boarding schools and all kinds of camps… her rich parents passing her from pillar to post while they lived a life of privilege. Totally the opposite to how Cooper had lived his life. She was all set to marry her equally rich and entitled best friend Griffin. They weren’t exactly in a relationship but she’d had a crush on him for so long, that when he proposed, it was like a dream come true. Her dream quickly turned into a nightmare when Griffin left her at the altar. Well actually he never turned up. You see, sleeping with one of the bridesmaids which also happens to be the brides cousins, then eloping to Vegas to get married. It doesn’t exactly get your marriage off to a flying start.Amelia confides in Cooper that she is somewhat worried that it was her lack of sexual experience that drove Griffin away. That’s Cooper’s cue to teach this sweet, intelligent and beautiful young woman just what love is.Oh and what a lesson he teaches her. Quickly it becomes clear that Cooper is utterly smitten with Amelia. They truly are kindred spirits. Everyone can see it. So similar in so many ways.Amelia’s Cooper-moon soon gets extended to a longer stay and a job offer means Amelia can justify staying close to the man that has completely changed her life. He’s opened her eyes so so many new and special experiences… encouraging her to be adventurous and step out of herself. But not everything can go smoothly… the path to true love never does. Unfortunately however its Cooper’s estranged father that is potentially going to cause major problems, not only for Cooper but the Miles family and the winery. Thinking he’s helping to save the winery, he makes a deal with his dad that could get him out of their lives forever… but trusting his dad might be the biggest mistake he’s ever going to make.I don’t think I’ve ever had such a laugh reading a book. I’ve laughed out loud and giggled so many times but there’s also a really deep and emotional parallel. I’ve been so close to tears in parts of this story through both sadness and happiness. So incredibly emotive but I’m glad to say I finished with a huge grin on my face.Cooper is just so awesome and I can’t wait to read more about this gorgeous couple in the last two instalments. Well done Claire. Two more characters that I’ve felt every emotion with. So, so good… I can’t get enough.

Cooper Cooper Cooper
In all the books we read about Cooper to some he might be way over the top but you know what this man would do anything for his mum, brothers ,sisters (including step sister and especially sister in law) his best friend now his brother-in-law and the man he thought more of than his father. Then along comes Amelia . These two together are just everything it is so easy to be them, they are everything they want to be until Amelia begins to question their relationship. This is when we see a different Coop one barely holding it together You hurt with him and for him. There are other factors at play which doesn't help Coops' state of mind. Team Coop and Cookie

Stronger together!
Amelia has just found out the man she was suppose to marry had run off to Vegas and married her cousin, the morning he was supposed to marry her. Going into a bar in her wedding dress she meets Cooper and so behind a new adventure. This book was both touching and hilarious. Cooper is always energised and cannot keep still but around Amelia he seems to find his inner calm. They both find they understand each other and have fun. But what happens when life gets in the way and their world's get turned on the axis? This was such a funny read which pulled me in for such a joyous ride! Worth more than five stars
