Compelling read
The first book was good, the second was better, I'm almost afraid to read the third in case it disappoints! I doubt it though. Plot upon plot, storylines that twists and weave, keeps you guessing all the way through. A great read.

Absorbing thriller
Enjoyed the first one in the series (which is a must read before starting this one) and this was more of the same. FBI agent Roarke and his team are hunting Cara Lindstrom, the vigilante, and it's hard not to root for both of them, especially as Roarke can't make his mind up about Cara. After all, he's hunting baddies and she's killing baddies, where's the problem?Whilst trying to track down Cara, the FBI team unearth a recent murder that bears the hallmarks of the Reaper, the murderer responsible for the massacre of Cara's family 25 years earlier. This adds another twist to the chase and drives the plot as much as the hunt for Cara.Readers who enjoyed Huntress Moon will undoubtedly enjoy Blood Moon. It's written in a fast paced and easy to read style which helps to disguise any flaws. Like many thrillers, sometimes it stretches things and gets a bit silly, but the urge to keep on reading is very forgiving. Not the most high brow of novels, but absorbing and enjoyable - which works for me.

Great Story
Read the first book in this series and I was hooked, so have brought books 2 & 3. I have just finished book 2 and it hasn't disappointed me. I really like the main character Cara, she is one hell of a girl. The FBI team are great. This book kept me guessing right to the end. Really like this Author's style of story telling. Will be looking out for more of her books.

Superb follow up - better than Book 1.
I am never sure how good a 'follow up' book will be; but in this case have no fears. In my view this is book is better than "Huntress Moon" with better developed characters and well described locations. This being the case, I would recommend reading the books in order and I have just bought the next one. FBI men Roarke and Epps are never completely correct and they do make mistakes, which I find refreshing. As for Cara, she is attractive and murderous - brilliant combination. Plenty of the Mo Hayder/Val McDiarmid gruesome stuff, but well written and immensely enjoyable.

Book 2 doesn't disappoint!
I enjoyed this book, the second in a series, and look forward to a conclusion in the third. There are rather a lot of bodies, as a girl who survived a horrific childhood experience resorts to her own rough justice, cunningly avoiding the investigators who are always just too late behind her. There are some well drawn characters, and it develops at a fast pace, a real page turner. It is really useful to read the books in order though, I would have been puzzled if I has started on this, or on the third.

Average Serial Killer Thriller Book 2
This is the authors second instalment of her Huntress series. The first book was average and this is only slightly better. I am probably bias as I am a UK reader and the American slang, of which there is plenty, does grate on me.Twenty five years after the story in the first book, the serial killer returns to massacre more families. The police are distracted by the only survivor of the first massacre who is now a grown young woman who is causing mayhem by attacking males who mistreat women and children. Although they deserve what they get the police have a duty to get her off the streets yet realise at the same time she could be the key to catching the serial killer. An OK read and I have put the next book in the series on my wish list to await a worthwhile price reduction!

Well written
I really enjoyed this follow up from Huntress Moon. I like the characters, the interaction between them and the pace at which it moves. It keeps you guessing what will happen next with a good amount of twist and turns. A really good read.

A thriller— Moon series
This is the second book and continuation from the first ‘Moon Series’. Never read anything like it. So original a style. And the subject matter is so painful to sensitive hearts and minds. I just couldn’t put the book down. Such compelling writing. It’s good to know that even the FBI have people with a heart.Highly highly recommended, almost literature standard.

Very good read
Following on from the first book i was keen to continue the read. This book immediately gained my attention and became difficult to put it down. The story had several twists and the ending leaves you needing to go to book 3 in this series. I am ready to find out more on Cara and what the law will decide in regards to her activities.

Outstanding read, I can't wait for the next one in this series
I listen to this on audio:The author grabs you from page one and keeps you on the edge through to the end. This is the second book in this series I have to say I am still a little torn between who to cheer for... the killer or the police. I know what Cara is doing is bad but I can't bring myself to not like her. I know Roarke must do his job hunt her and bring her in but for the life of my I can't bring myself to want the same thing. The author gives you such a compelling story of such pain one women trying to find justice and the FBI agent who is looking for her as he is pulled into a web of what to do. Can justice be served or will the hunt continue as Cara brings down monsters why protecting the people?Ms. Sokoloff paints a story of horrible crimes and the one person who is doing her best to bring them down while Agent Roarke is torn between what he must do and what he wishes he could do. This book takes off where book 1 leave off, with some intents and very graphic story lines. I have fast fell in love with her as a writer and will follow as she takes me on one heck of a ride on a whirlwind travel of justice being served. She gives us serious issues that will break your heart, you wish you could hold the characters and give them hope. Maybe make a few of their dreams come true. Her plots are outstanding and very believable, her writing style is out of this world as she gives you wonderful characters why she spins a compelling tale and keeps you on the edge of your seat cheering first one and then the other on the hunt for monsters who deserve to die. She gives you chilling scenes that will stay with you long after you have finish the read. She paints the picture in your mind of murder, blood that gave me chills why she writes from alternate points of view from the FBI agent and the woman he is chasing, being able to see the story from both sides which made an outstanding read.R.C. Bray as a narrator is outstanding he holds my interest and keeps me coming back for more as he brings my heart to my throat and give me visual of the bloody scenes along with the monsters that nature has given us. I love his many different voices at times I forget he is a man when I hear the women talking. His voice has chills going down my back as he held me on the edge not being able to put the book down. He gives just the correct amount of roughness to each character as he gives the softer side to the women. This ending will have you holding your breath as you say NO NO NO please NO only to find you saying it over and over again before the last word is read. It does have a happy ending but a sad one.I would have to say Cara is and will always be my hero but so is Roarke. I have never read a book where I have been so torn. What an ending I do have to say it is great but I am so torn on that as well....I highly recommend this series it gives you all the thrills and chills along with suspense and mystery you could ask for. This series has just blown me away....I can't wait for the next book in this series.

la trilogia regge / quite a good second book of three
Lettura in ogni caso piacevole. This second book of the FBI trilogy is a little less engaging of the first, and there are some repetitions. The plot is very well put together (maybe even too much, each scene arriving right when you expect it), though there is a twist not so much unexpected as somehow dropped into the plot, characters are simple but full. I'm going to read the third book, too, I want to know the proceedings of this story, which could be the history of an obsession, if only it was a bit deeper. Anyhow, a nice read.

Very well done!
I thought that this book was very well done. This is the second book in the Huntress/FBI Thrillers series which is a series that really does need to be read in order. This book picks up shortly after the events in the first installment in the series with Special Agent Roarke still trying to capture Cara. I was quickly pulled back into this ongoing story and had a really good time with it.Cara Lindstrom was the only survivor of a murderer known as The Reaper when she was just a young child. She is now also a murderer and wanted by the FBI. Her crimes have been committed against those that have harmed or are in the process of harming others. It is next to impossible to feel regret over the lives she has taken but Roarke is determined to bring her in.Roarke intends to set a trap for Cara and stumbles upon a crime much larger than he thought possible. I was completely pulled in by this story and had a great time trying to figure out how everything would work out and what the FBI's next move would be. There was a lot of action and the story moved at a pretty fast pace. I liked the profiling aspect of the story and thought it added a really interesting aspect to the story.R.C. Bray did a fantastic job with the narration. For some reason, his voice just seems perfect for this kind of story. He was able to really bring the story to life and did a great job with all of the character voices. I really like the quality of his voice and found that I wanted to listen to this book for hours at a time.I would recommend this series to others. I think that this is a very well done mystery that kept me guessing paired with great characters and enough action to keep things interesting. I am looking forward to listening to the next book in the series very soon.I received a digital review copy of this book from Thomas & Mercer via NetGalley and purchased a copy of the audiobook.
