Rugged Ridge | Hood Catch Kit, Locking | 11210.10 | Fits 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ, Black

Looked great for a while and holds tight... however the coating and the metal is corroding big time and paint is chipping off in large flakes. Now they look like garbage on my newly painted Jeep. Too bad they can’t make a decent hood latch! Will be repainting these myself luckily I have the supplies to do it already. I wouldn’t reccomend these honestly and I would not buy from them again. I paid over $150 for these catches- I can’t believe they haven’t lasted a year.

Luego de 8 meses aprox de uso, sobre la carretera los seguros se vencieron y se levantó mi cofre contra el parabrisas ocasionando un accidente del que afortunadamente salí bien, pero la verdad no ajustan bien y constantemente se mueven debido a su falta de fijación . No sé aún tengan garantía pero lo dudo, mal producto y el problema es que no encuentro otros seguros que le queden a mi TJ :(

Incredible! I've tried other ones.. locks fail after a few years or the rubber stretches and breaks... all have been garbage. But not these ones. Quality is top notch, even stainless screws. Pulls the hood right down, no flutter at all even when transports go by. Uses factory holes, bolts right into place. I did add washers though. Can't say enough positive about them.

Came nicely packaged with instructions. The install was a fifteen minute install. Would recommend for all jeeps as the hood flutter is totally gone now.

I have to rate this as a 5, even though I returned it. Mainly because the product was great - I just ordered it for the wrong model year by mistake. I later ordered the correct item and am very happy with it. No more bouncing bonnet and fairly easy to install. Just have to learn to bend your fingers in new ways for the lower latch nut! ALSO, the return process was completely painless. Even though it was my error, Amazon paid the postage and refunded the full purchase price. Very pleased with the customer service!
