Really good product.
This is an excellent product.First off, really easy to set up. Put the sensor on my back fence (not optimum position, but good), set the sensor and readout panels to the same channel, turn 'em on. Within minutes they are connected and transmitting data.Range does not seem to be a problem, I figure the sensor is about 70 feet from the displays and works fine. I have one display in my kitchen and one in my upstairs bath, both work fine. The displays are better in person than they look here. Very easy to read, colorful without being garish. And the little LCD panel on the bottom constantly streams interesting data about today's weather ranges.Quibbles: I would like a setting to dim the display even further, or turn it off at night. The barometric pressure is a little off, I'd like to be able to train that. And the described way to calibrate the rain gauge sounds so tedious that I just left it at the default. All minor. This is a really good product. Exceeded my expectations, buy one.

Excellent weather station
This is our third AcuRite weather station. Bought the first one at Costco many years ago. They work well until they don't...they're out in the weather and do take a beating. The monitor is easy to see and displays lots of helpful info. We really missed it when the last one failed.

great weather station
Can read from across the room in clear backlit numerals. Lights entire room at night on low backlite setting on 110 vac wall wart power supply. Interesting banner information updates viewers on maximums and minimums, etc. Was promptly given credit by Amazon and decided an additional monitor at $80 wasn't worth it, but unit is so nice I'm sorry I didn't get the second monitor, now. Mount may have to be rigid. In high winds above 40 mph rain gauge may be activated by either wind or movement in the wind. Will try more guy cords to solve this problem....meanwhile I'll keep my old weather station for that job. Just bought SECOND UNIT for my deck. First on channel A, second on channel C. Mounted it more ridgedly and the rain gauge works great. Wind speed twirler not as accurate/fairly useless on the older/first unit, possibly due to wear from high winds. But the display from the set with the chattering anemometer works fine on the same channel as the new set so the two displays are nice so both displays work fine on the same channel. . Will attempt a ball bearing mod of the damaged sensor. Will buy again as thhe display, prediction algorithym, and banner reporting is the best I've seen. Good chance I'll buy a third station for my workshop.

2 things
1) The weathervane is a little pokey it seems to be getting better I did lubricate it bit as recommended2) I’d really like to be able to customize the display( declutter & add wind gusts)We’re right on the water and I watch the thing all the time, it’s OK but I really like if I get uptard those two things

Acting up after 4.6 years in Florida heat - that is acceptable
I will say the was a sensor for a small $ amount I had to replace maybe 3 years in. Found sensor at vendor site I think. At 4.5 years, and does not seem to be responding correctly. Changed from b to a channel not much help. Think it is just suffering from some pretty harsh heat over the years, but batteries typically last 9 - 10 months. Overall pretty happy with it. Gift idea - give an extra indoor screen to neighbor. He loves it. And with two monitors, replacement unit after 4.4 years about $90, yea I would say worth while and good investment.

Love This Weather Station!!
Live out in country, in tornado alley, away from storm sirens and have had previous home basic information, mainly indoor/outdoor temperature. Once our last unit quit working, I began searching on Amazon and came across this incredible home weather station, with all the bells and whistles on it, including rainfall amounts (it empties itself) and outside unit is solar, no need for electricity. It was very simple to install the outdoor weather station unit. Kit comes with options to either attach to a pole or flat level (elevated) surface. We attached ours to top railing of long deck, away from house, buildings and trees, twelve feet from ground. The two indoor screen bases are very easy to read, is light adjustable too. We highly recommend this model if you are looking for a great, easy to setup/use, home weather station. Note: indoor display bases are ran by either AC or DC or DC with battery backup, in case of power disruption.

Love the color displays.
Does not have the dual solar panel upgrade, but you cannot beat the price of two monitors with it ! Last one lasted about three years, then temperature sensor failed. In full sun on hot days the high temperature might be off a few degrees, about 3-5 F higher . Would buy again, oh I just did, LOL. To bright to sleep by, we block it at night to sleep.

Bad Customer Service
I purchased this & within 2 years one of the displays had gone bad & the actual weather station quit working less than a year after that. Called ACURITE & they could care less. Buyer beware.
