Gamma Motorcycle Jacket

That's right. I was hit at low speeds by a drunk driver in an intersection and he knocked me over. My left elbow slammed into the ground and left some considerable bruising. There are thick pads reinforcing and protecting your forearms, elbows, and shoulders, and I can honestly say the elbow pad saved my elbow from shattering on the pavement. The shoulder pad did some considerable work too. Yes, the jacket did rip, but it's an extremely small tear considering how much actually slid on the pavement. It did what I bought it to do, and that was to protect me.Moving past the safety rant, the jacket looks sweet! It has padding all over, has a cool striped designs, velcro straps to tighten down the waste and sleeves so air can't get in, and an extremely warm removable liner. I'm riding in +30 degree weather, and with a scarf protecting my neck, I experience no discomfort. I'm 6'0" at about 170 pounds, and the MED size fits me perfect, in fact, I can even wear a hoodie underneath when it gets REALLY cold!Great jacket for a great price. Moreover, very SAFE jacket. Five stars!***UPDATE***I recently sold my last bike and the jacket with it to a friend, who absolutely loves it. I purchased a new motorcycle and instantly went online to purchase another one of these, this time in the blue color to match my new bike. It looks and fits stellar, and I get a lot of compliments from people about the cool look of the jacket. So far this is my second one and I am extremely pleased with it, not to mention I feel vey well protected if I ride. Milano continues to receive 5 stars from me!***UPDATE #2***I added pictures! Of my first jacket (white) and my second jacket (blue) from Milano. I'm not near as thin as the pictures make me look for the blue jacket, so keep in mind it's much wider than how it appears! I also like to match, and both the jackets have done their matching bikes justice.

This jacket is definitely one of my favorites out there for the price! The fact that it has adjustable cuffs and forearms is an amazing feature that I wish was present in more jackets. During the summer it’s nice and cool with the mesh. During spring/fall I put in the liner and don’t feel hardly a thing unless it’s below about 45F/7C out.Not only is this jacket warm in the cooler months and cool in the warmer months, but it is very protective. I hit a patch of gravel a few weeks ago and was virtually unscathed from my waist up. My poor legs on the other hand had a little bit of denim for protection and didn’t fare so well. The pads in the elbows almost surely saved me the pain of a shattered elbow. The pads in the forearms and shoulders as well as the back definitely saved from inevitable road rash that would have been my body.It’s not only functional and protective, but also aesthetically pleasing. I love the way I look in this jacket! It matches my bike almost perfectly and really accentuates the contrasting red and black of my bike without drawing too much attention to itself. It has reflective strips in it, but they’re hidden away so you can’t see them unless it’s dark and you have bright lights shining on you. Overall, this is an incredible jacket that I would highly recommend to anyone!Side note: When purchasing this, get it a size up from what you normally would. It’s a European cut which means it’s much more form fitting. I’m normally a medium and had to get the European large because I couldn’t fit into the first one I bought.

Not noticeable when zipped, but feels odd compared to your other zip items.The main zipper feels a little light in construction but functions.Sizing Information:First - protective motorcycle gear is supposed to be a snug fit - you want the armor in place to stay there and you do not want wind flap.Second - this jacket is clearly built more for a European fit - that means we "heftier" Americans need to buy larger - but how much may depend on your body type.Generally speaking, if you wear a Size L T-Shirt and it fits normally (as opposed to muscle or sausage tight) - Order an XL in this jacket; the fit will be correct.I initially ordered size L because I interpreted other reviews in relationship to jacket sizes and it fit like a tight M.For perspective, I am a short male, 5' tall and 170 lbs. Wide shoulders, 17" neck, 44 chest. Not "fat" - more like a fireplug. The XL fits my shoulders/chest perfect and since it's a short torso jacket it's a bonus for me. I was able to successfully adjust the sleeves using the mentioned adjusters to position the armor and keep it there as well as manage the sleeve length.I hope you find this review helpful.Be visible, ride safe.

I purchased this jacket based on the fact that it looked pretty cool and had venting zippers advertised for hot days.Be warned that the description is false. The jacket does have two arm zipper vents but it actually allows zero airflow. I held the jacket up to a light and there's not even anywhere for the air to flow through. It's totally blocked.I rode with the jacket and OMG, it's so so hot inside compared to my older jacket, I mean dying hot.I returned the jacket because it was not as advertised and want to warn others that this jacket has zero airflow. The size is also very small. I am a very thing guy so I ordered a medium. I probably needed a large which is crazy.You've been warned!

The media could not be loaded.  Had my jacket for three days now and I love it. I didn't order a size up and it fit me perfectly, plus it's arms are very adjustable. Zipper vents for air flow are a nice touch especially when you start getting sweaty. I ride through the rain too and can definitely see how waterproof this jacket is. AND it arrived 10 days early. Only complaint is they just left it on the porch for anyone to take.(update 5 years later and 50 pounds heavier) order a size up if youre a bigger guy. the waterproof fails in the elbows first and the velcro on the cuff have work to the point of not sticking. Good bang for your buck jacket would recommend. Decent padding in the elbow and shoulder
