Very useful and easy to follow
I have bought this book as a resource while writing my undergraduate thesis in an Australian university. It's designed in a way that it's easy to find the sections relevant for use when required, and is also written in such a way that the chapters or sections can be read to offer a beginning point. There's also an online resource connected to the book which is a very useful tool too. It included links to example readings, further information and any updates on current information. I'd recommend getting a hold of this book if you're in a similar situation to me - it has been a great help.

A very good comprehensive yet accessible guide book
The book is very comprehensive and very useful for post graduate students (like me). It is also very accessible - searching the kindle version is amazing anf helped me locate and understand all these inaccessible research terminologies. I wish there is more examples though particularly in relation to the research topic. Plus

Logical and comprehensive without being dry
Very well laid out and comprehensive reference book for research in social sciences. There are more "chatty" books out there but this is serious without being dry. It's certainly readable although you are more likely to use it for reference. It takes you logically through all stages of the research process - from formulating your question, literature review skills and project design and implementation as well as presentation. A really helpful book that is already well-thumbed!

Excellent degree companion.
Go no further if you are starting your MA. The language used and the general guidance is excellent. It provides you with references to other work that helps you through the research and gets you to question your motives for the research. Excellent, wish I had it at the beginning of my course and not during my dissertation.

Glued pages but fine
I know this is a secondhand book, but I didn't know that there would be some glue inside the first few pages. Those pages are mostly empty so it doesn't affect the content, but seller should have mentioned it in the description.

Essential for doing a MBA
This book a good alternative to the big hardcover issue of Robson. It is cheaper, easier to handle and offers all the insights to research models that aré required for scientific work. Suitable as well for nature science and for humanities.

Helpful for graduate students in social sciences
I originally purchased this book for a graduate seminar on research methods in public administration. The reviews were definitely mixed, so I didn't know what to expect. Truth be told I am enjoying this book very much. As a graduate student it is helping me with term projects and will also be a helpful tool for the writing of my thesis. The negative reviews I've read seem to stem from a misunderstanding of the book or its purpose. I would't consider this an appropriate tool for undergraduate students (unless they were in their last year or doing an Honours program), as it is more of a guide for individuals with some research experience or with some academic background. The book assumes you have previous knowledge on epistemological and theoretical frameworks as well as certain paradigms. It therefore makes sense for more advanced students. The writing is clear and concise, with boxes and diagrams that synthesise the information.Overall, I am happy with the purchase of this book as it's tremendously helpful in working out the practical aspects of my research. I would definitely recommend it to graduate students in social sciences - whether you're just starting your MA or in the process of writing your thesis.

easy to understand
This book is written so anyone can understand. The chapters are full of useful information that will stay with. Be aware the kindle version has no page numbers in the table of contents. The author is from England so most of his examples and websites are England based.
