Really nice Bearnaise
Tried a few since Maille discontinued theirs and they weren’t as good. This one by Cotswold is really nice, not too acidic and not bland either.

An interesting Béarnaise
I only ever have Béarnaise sauce with steak. This one has perfect texture and the taste is nearly there. It needs more tarragon to lift it, a bit more egg yolk and a bit less vinegar. I would buy again but would enjoy it more with these changes. Just my opinion.

Makes a chicken club sandwich
Haven't been about to find bearnaise sauce in the shops for a while now so gave in and paid over the odds for a couple of jars from Amazon. Love the sauce in a chicken club sandwich, I don't get through that much of it and so the extra cost is justifiable, as I told my wife...

Not much flavour
The texture is very nice, thick and creamy. However, I couldn’t really detect any taste of tarragon, or anything much else for that matter. I much preferred Maille’s version, but since they seem to have discontinued it, this will have to do.

Horrible bearnaise
It doesn't taste at all like bearnaise sauce. Absolutely horrible I have tried it now it is in the bin. Would not recommend to anyone.

Where did all the bearnaise go?
Having not been able to find Bearnaise in any of my local supermarkets recently (I’ve no idea why it’s gone out of fashion as it is the perfect steak sauce!), I decided to suck it up and pay the inflated price on Amazon. This sauce itself is pretty good, although I’d prefer the Maille one I used to be able to buy.
