Marmotmens Zeus Jacket Lightweight, Water-resistent Zeus Jacket, 700 Fill Power Down

Despite the description, I doubted that the Marmot jacket would be as warm as claimed (to 10 degrees above if memory serves) when it first arrived. It was way to light weight. I was happy to be totally wrong. When we had our sub-zero temps for a week or two in mid-January, it wasn't great for sub-zero but it was still somewhat adequate with a few layers underneath. When it warmed up to single digits above, it wasn't bad with a t-shirt and sweat shirt, but when it 10 and above it was (wearing t-shirt and hoodie) as described. I'm quite pleased. It doesn't fully block winds of 20+, but is sufficiently effective below that. It's an expensive jacket, but you get what you pay for. This one is light weight and--as described--can easily be folded & compressed to fit into a small backpack.

Nice coat. Much better zipper than my old (more expensive) North Face coat. I do wish the coat design incorporated a bit more pizazz, maybe some contrasting highlight color for the emblem or the stitching. Great coat though, can’t complain for the price.
