Tangent Ripple Grading Panel

I use this with FCPX's Color Finale Pro plugin. Works pretty well, in general. Sometimes it is sluggish in response time, but that is most likely my computer (MacBook Pro 13" 2017 2.0 ghz with 8 gb ram). Since I am starting to take color correction seriously, this is a must to speed things up. Now it is apparently compatible with FCPX 10.4 and its Color Wheels, but I have not tried this yet. Should also work fine in Premiere and Da Vinci.

I know it's minimal .. after all ... I didn't spend thousands of dollars on it. But, it does what it does with ne're a hiccup. If you want to grade less painfully, get one.

I don't give this 5 stars because it uses third-party remote control software intermediary for Final Cut, and in Davinci Resolve, it doesn't allow programmed/re-mapped button functions. In Final cut it seems just a touch laggy, in Davinci it is fast.The good:- solid product, good feel in the hand- dramatically speeds up the essentials in color correction- Does what it is advertised to do, and does it wellThe not-so-good:- Lack of customizability in Davinci is a disappointment (but probably Davinci's fault)- Funky third-party software driver solution for FCPX interface less than impressive. This should have a NATIVE or plugin type solution of some sort.- Miserly buttons/dials and no rings also a real disappointment. At least one optical dial per ball, rotating rings and a few more buttons per ball would make this a really great product for advanced amateur users like me. There is room on the board - it's just a miserly implementation to force you to consider their next-higher-up model, and once I had it installed I did realize how much I could use just a few additional control elements. I feel, however, that having a few more essential controls wouldn't compete with their other products, as those are for professionals, and professionals need the extensive controls they offer. Rather than a home-run, this product is a good solid hit and run to second base.

Love this. It makes my work way more enjoyable as a film professional. A must for any onset DIT.

For $350, this is a must have!While the features are somewhat limited, even more so on Davinci Resolve (so far), the ability to remap functions in other programs such as Premiere Pro are invaluable! If you do any basic color balancing at all and are still using a stylus or a mouse, get this product now! You will be astounded by how much it can improve your speed. Hopefully, Davinci will eventually let you remap some of the button functions. Then again, they have an interest in selling their color boards... so, we'll see.

Returned this... it is literally like a mouse you can buy with the roller ball... cheap plastic and definitely not worth the asking price.
