... a stand that was light weight and portable yet sturdy for quite some time to use with my Microsoft ...
I’d been looking for a stand that was light weight and portable yet sturdy for quite some time to use with my Microsoft Surface Book (MSB). Yea…I said Microsoft Surface Book. Not a MBP hater as I own three (3) in 17, 15 and 13 inch sizes. Nuf’ said about that. The Vogek Laptop Aluminum Stand raises my MSB to the perfect height and typing angle. I prefer the 20 degree rise (no use of the front support). Using facial recognition to log-in before getting this stand I had to bend over for the camera to see my face. Problem solved! It’s light weight and sturdy and fits into my computer bag with ease. In fact it occupies less space than my MSB when folded for transport. The design is stylist and compliments the finish of all my laptops (MBP and MSB). The rubber like/silicone pads on the base and front leading edge prevent the stand from marring the MSB. The rubber feet keep it from sliding and also serve to securely lock the adjustable supports in place when folded. The only disappoint I had was with the Amazon Fulfillment Center. They shipped the stand in its’ retail display box with a label slapped on it. Upon arriving at the USPS delivery destination they (USPS) marked the box with black magic marker to designate my mail drop. Bummer!Amazon…if you’re listening …that’s no way to ship a product. It should have been shipped inside another box. I like to keep the retail box of certain products in pristine condition as it increases the re-sale value if that time should occur.Oh, well...shipping aside…the Vogek Laptop Aluminum Stand is well worth the investment and should be on your short list if you’re looking for a premium quality stand at an affordable price. I highly recommend it.

Looks, and works great with my Mac!
At first, I wasn't too sure about this stand. It was difficult to "unlock" the legs from the stand to use them because of the little rubber feet. Once I figured those out, I just love this stand. Now, it is very easy to set up, and it works perfectly with my 15 inch Mac Book Pro as well as matching the look of my computer. My Mac Book is 7 years old, and I noticed lately, that it seems to heat up a lot more now. This stand definitely has enough airflow to keep it cool. You can't really rest the stand on you legs for any length of time, because it will definitely dig into your legs ( I guess that they call these "laptops" for a reason). I use a lap pad under the stand, and it works great. I really like the versatility with the ability to change angles of the keypad by which legs you use or don't use on the stand. This is a great functional stand...and it looks good too!

Sturdy, practical laptop stand!
I like having a laptop stand to keep my laptop off my desk in case I/ someone else spills something on my desk- this does the trick! It's very sturdy/ well built and matches the aesthetic of having a Macbook. The last laptop stand was much lighter, but broke because it was made of plastic. While this laptop stand will not fit in my laptop bag, and is a heavier than my last portable laptop stand, it's worth the weight. I move offices every few months, so I'm not carrying my work set up around on a daily/ week-to-week basis. You don't need to use a separate keyboard if you don't have the front flap open- only have the back end of your laptop raised. I don't bring around a bluetooth keyboard. I do have a wireless mouse in case I'm at my desk. This laptop also raised the height of my screen to improve my posture.

Perfect for the DELL XPS15!
Perfect for the DELL XPS15.The stand seems solid and well-made. It has a decent weight to it, but it's still portable as it folds up flat. There's an overhang of about an inch on both the left and right sides, but no rocking. On the back-end, the base is about 3/4" longer than the computer. The keyboard is now at a great angle for typing. Also of note, there's a slight space between the computer and the stand, because the feet of the XPS15 extend across the entire base of the computer. One of my original concerns had been whether the XPS would slide over the lip of the stand, but there seems to be no danger of that. I had considered several stands, but couldn't be happier with my choice!

Nice but may not work well with some laptops
This is nicely made and as advertised, but it does not work well with my Asus UX303U ultrabook. The ultrabook is the right size for the stand, but the shape of the bottom edge does not sit firmly against the rounded support of the stand. The computer's edge is so gradual that it slips over the lip that is supposed to catch it. The stand has some rubbery material on its surface that slows the slippage, but without firm contact with the lip it just slides down, regardless of stand configuration. It's not really the stand's fault, but I recommend comparing the shape of your computer to the one in my picture to see if you could have the same problem.

Good for those who occasionally work on their laptops, not for the power user.
Pros: easy to fold and unfold. Keyboard and touchpad are accessible.Cons: lifts laptop up only 4 inches. While this might make an hour or two of work more comfortable, you should probably get a laptop stand that raises the laptop much more if you need to work at the computer for 4+ hours a day. And a good wireless mouse keyboard combination.Would give it 3.5 stars if that was an option.

Not a bad item and with some good features
Not a bad item and with some good features, but didn't meet our needs. Not terribly adjustable (there are only 2 ways to "adjust" the stand) and only raised our 15" laptop, which fit well on it, about 4" or so above the table. I was expecting more. Also the 2 supports aren't lockable, so that if one moves the laptop and stand, the entire setup can collapse.
