X Waterproof Action Camera

Awesome budget camera!

The media could not be loaded.  = Watch the Video for a more In-depth and Test Footage =Let's start this off with how I feel, I really do not like this camera. 3 things plagued the device that just made it too frustrating to use.First off, the most frustrating part is the fact that while in the waterproof housing, I was not able to turn on the device. Now, this is simply unacceptable. For a device that is touted as an action camera, where you can use it underwater, the fact that I can't turn it on/off is disappointing.Second, I was able to turn on the device about half of the time. The other half, was left staring at the Logo while the camera just blinked it red light. I tried multiple sd cards thinking that that was the cause, but that was to no avail.Lastly, the video itself feels a little washed out. The colors were just bland, you can surely fix this in post-production, but people buying an action camera at this price point is not going to be doing that.What I did like was that it is compatible on all GoPro mounts. Also, you can hook it up to the computer and use it as a pc webcam. Honestly, there is not much good from the camera with some glaring faults of it. Don't even get me started on the App, that really isn't a MeCam X app. The build quality of the Camera is pretty decent, it can definitely take a beaten.*I was provided this product to Review. IThe MeCamX for the price point was a pleasant surprise. The quality of photographs and video were what would be expected of any action camera on the market. The indoor quality is okay, where as the outdoor quality shine. I did make note that when recording inside, well lite areas performed way higher than those areas not overly compensated with light. The quality outdoors in direct daylight was very impressive and equivalent to the quality of the GoPro Session. For me the big winner was the wrist remote. This feature eliminate the frustrating mobile application that the MeCamX currently has in place. And while it looks clunky, the remote is easy to use and connect.For me the negative points of the camera were Mobile App, Microphone and Touchscreen. The Mobile Application is a third party application that is used by many action cameras. Due to this I had numerous connectivity issues and the process became very frustrating. So frustrating that I went straight to using the wrist remote to capture the "shots on the go". The camera does have a built in microphone, however, the quality is very weak, low and "tinny" sounding. This is not uncommon for many action cams on the market, thus why many people upgrade to a usb style microphone. The MeCamX does have a LCD screen, however it does not allow any touch display navigation. All commands are given through the WiFi, Power, and Record buttons. This is a huge nightmare when it come to user experience, however I am sure this was a huge impact to make the difference of the price point on this camera.Overall I would highly consider the MeCamX when shopping for you next WiFi action cam. This is a HUGE contender for three main reasons:1) PRICE2) GOODS RECIEVED3) TECH SPECS

The media could not be loaded.  This is an initial review only as I only started using the camera for a week and haven't gotten a chance to test every function. I can tell you that it i a nice camera and fully compatible with GoPro accessories as it uses the same mount types and sizes. In my video I unbox and show everything that comes with it, but also after the unboxing I record my dog with it as well as dunk it in a bowl of water for a few seconds. I have great plans for this camera, wish it included a hand grip attachment with the camera though, as I didn't have any helmets or bikes to mount it to yet.So far, the resolution seems great, the waterproof works and the camera is easy to use and pair with the watch or an iOS/Android app. The microphone itself is weak however, and very low and "tinny" sounding which isn't uncommon for action camera's.

I have been thinking about investing in a wearable action camera to enhance my RV reviews, change things up and keep it fresh. I did not want to spend any more than I had to so I found a reasonably priced action camera here on Amazon and clicked the buy button. I wanted to share my first hand experience with you and here is it.If you are into action and activities like riding a four wheel or dirt bike, you will really like this “Go pro like” action camera! But if you are into reviewing RVs and need to be heard and understood this might not work so well. I am impressed with the video quality, the ease of use and have plans to use it.
