Good formula, does cause constipation
I've been using this formula for about three months. It definitely causes some constipation, but I've gone through several brands and have yet to find a formula that doesn't. I initially used this in conjunction with breast feeding, but when I went to formula exclusively is when I started noticing the constipation. My little guy cried a lot when working to squeeze one out, but per my pediatricians recommendation, giving him a few ounces of water a day helped in the beginning. When he got a little older, I gave him 2oz prune juice regularly (with pediatricians approval) and that's taken care of the constipation since. The price on amazon is comparable, cheaper than at Whole Foods by a few bucks, but you can also find it at Target a bit cheaper if you have a credit card, plus they frequently do promotions on baby items (spend $, get $x gift card). Anyway, point is- my baby seems to like it, but it stops him up.

No corn syrup makes this best in US
No corn syrup is why this product is the best in U.S. But... it still has multiple ingredients that concern me, regardless of organic status. For my baby boy, I am nervous about the soy oil. He gets VERY constipated on this formula (which is the first formula we tried, so nothing to compare it to yet). I read that the palm oil causes this and gut issues, by turning into a soapy substance in the gut. So, wouldn't it be great if someone cared enough not to make infant formula with soy, palm oil, and DHA extracted from hexane? Someone who cared would also source good vitamins (who knows, these vitamins and minerals could be crap from China with heavy metals in them, though I should prob ask Plum before assuming). In any case, there are other, better formulas out there - like Baby's Only and Sammy's- but they are for toddlers, as far as FDA regulations go. The Hipp and Holle from Europe are better, and possibly Nanny's from England, but they need to be shipped overseas and you can never be sure where they've been before they get to you! Also, those formulas require boiling the water first and it's just a bit more complicated. If anything bad happens from them (e.g. the recent high aluminum content in Hipp), there's nothing you can do, since the makers are overseas. So, my family is left with Plum for now... I don't love this formula, but I'm unable to breastfeed my son and this is just better than the other stuff out there for infants in the U.S.

The only formula my 7 Month Old EBF daughter will take! Awesome!
My 7 month old exclusively breastfed baby would not take any formula, which I desperately needed her to, because after I returned to work full time at the six month mark, I was finding myself unable to pump enough to provide for her during work hours. I tried Gerber Good Start Supplementing and Enfamil. She wanted nothing to do with either. Finally, after more research, I decided to try Plum Organics. She drank 2 entire ounces the first chance she got, and she hasn't looked back. She switches back and forth between this and expressed breastmilk with NO problem. It's as though she makes no distinction between the two, and even better, she acts no different after the formula than she does my milk.Obviously, breastfeeding was a huge priority for me, and it was difficult emotionally to transition to formula, but I feel good about this product and what's in it. My daughter has been drinking this for at least a week and a half now, and there have been NO stomach issues, no constipation, and no sensitivities of any kind. I'm thrilled and so very relieved. I was feeling so overwhelmed by the pressure to constantly pump, and I simply couldn't get enough stored while simultaneously feeding her at the breast to keep her full. Thank you, Plum Organics! My baby is a big fan and therefore so am I!

Only formula my baby likes!
My baby was exclusively breastfed and when I started bottle feeding I thought the bottle was the only problem. (He’ll take latex nipples but hates silicone.) I started feeding him my frozen breast milk from a spoon out of desperation, but realized he hated the taste. Then I tried Enfamil, Similac and Gerber good start and he spat out all of them. I finally tried Plum organics and he started eating it!!! With a little coaxing he finally took the bottle and now he tries to grab the bottle from my hand when it’s time to feed. I agree that it foams and bubbles A LOT but we haven’t had any problems with constipation. This has been a life saver.

Appreciate such a wonderful baby formula!!
I can not say enough good things about this formula. Having had my third child, I truly did not anticipate ever having to use formula. However, my son was underweight at his one week appointment and even on at the two week mark he was not up to birthweight so they had me supplementing with Enfamil formula. I will tell you those first few weeks were stressful. I was pumping like a crazy woman to keep up my supply and also still trying to nurse periodically, all while giving him formula to get up his weight. He was miserable with stomach pain and I was desperate to help him. I stopped pumping/nursing, transitioned him off of Enfamil to Plum Organics & started using Gripe Water. It saved my sanity and he's a new baby! I Subscribe & Save every month so I have a stash and never run out. Although it is readily available at Target & Babies R Us, too which is great. We use the glass Dr. Brown bottles and he does great. No gas or constipation. Although I will say he sometimes strains a little bit to go- he is very regular and truly seems to love it. While I love the idea of making my own formula- it just is not realistic for me in this season of my life and I'm very grateful for a baby formula with NO corn syrup solids. Wonderful product!! I highly recommend :-)

This formula foams like nothing I've seen before
This formula foams like nothing I've seen before! About 3oz of foam, so much so that it's a little difficult to tell how much my LO drank. We switched to Similac and it doesn't foam at all, it just has a few bubbles like cow's milk. I've heard Enfamil also doesn't foam like that. Pricey and way too much foam! Also, my son dropped from the 25 percentile to 2nd percentile after 1 month of supplementing with this formula. Probably not related, but definitely unexpected.
