little kink
This one was just as good as the others. I love seeing the flashbacks to how they met and still seeing some of the second generation of the blue crew here. I hope we see some of the kids stories like Anna and analay. I loved this this one was a hit diff in that Nora was a part of the kink community and she needed something more/diff to get off. I loved the hair pulls, pinning her down and peeks of dominance we see here. Have loved reading more of these lately

Bittersweet! At least we still have the Icehome series!
While this story could probably be read as a stand-alone, I DO NOT recommend it. This series has a very dynamic and evolving universe, multiple reoccurring characters and overarching themes. There is also a spin-off series (Icehome Barbarians), but it is not necessary to have read it before beginning this story, just IPB in my opinion. This is the story of Nora and Dagesh, one of the first couples to resonate, so it follows the same pattern as the previous IPB, in that it starts in the present and then recalls how their resonance started.I love the premise behind this story as it focuses on the struggles of finding common intimacy roles that meets the needs of both partners. In that way it could apply to any couple that falls in love, but is amplified on the Ice Planet (aka Icehome). Nora went through a very traumatic experience after being abducted on the alien ship. This is acknowledged and Ruby Dixon did a great job letting her grieve, while still keeping the focus on the future and the new couple.Dagesh is an innocent in the ways of mating, and like the rest of the Sa-khui, he is fiercely protective and would never do anything that could even perceivably harm his mate.Nora is a submissive that needs certain things to achieve satisfaction. In the beginning of their resonance, with their khuis newly purring, Dagesh is overwhelmed and cannot maintain control. This is everything Nora is looking for and everything is wonderful … until he sees a few bruises on her. She tried to explain that she just bruises easy and everything was great.Unfortunately, Dagesh is almost beside himself and he remembers what his chief told him about going slow when he to,d him a little bit about what Nora went through. What does that mean for Nora, vanilla sex for the rest of her life? Or, will Dagesh be able to give her what she needs without losing or changing his core values?I hate that this is probably the end of IPB (notice I am still holding out hope for the occasional novella), at least we still have the Icehome Barbarians, the next generations being born, etc.Plus if there were Sakh found on an island (volcano), there could just as easily be other continents, canyons, or land masses not explored. Or more spaceships could crash further diversifying and establishing the planet. Lots of possibilities, just saying.

Ice Planet Barbarians
If you asked me a month ago if I thought I’d be finishing book #21 of IPB I probably would’ve laughed at you. But here I am. And I’m already planning on reading the rest of Ruby Dixon’s books. I’m a little sad to leave the “main” tribe though. These books are good. Read them!

yep, that felt like an ending (spoilers!)
So if you didn’t know before, you know now. The IPB books have now ended. We haven’t left Not-Holt, or is it No-Hotl? Either way don’t feel too down about that little fact. We have the Iceplanet books and the new set after that. So, outside of the lovely send off for the last chapter of the book, I wonder if I somehow missed this big main party that everyone seemed to have been in on.Like you, I read the blurb and wondered how it would come about. Amazingly better than I expected, but I still feel like bits of the older books had been red conned here.In fact that is my only complaint. Outside of that, I’m very happy with this book. It feels like all the feedback and concerns she’s had from other books were the backbone of this book.

A sweet ending
I’m tearing up after finishing this one! Not because it was sad but because it felt like a closing of a chapter in the tribe. Now we focus on Icehome and Clones and eventually maybe the children (Analay and Anna WHEN????) So it definitely felt like the perfect send off. And yay for some positive kink representation! Nora was such a fun character and I’m so happy we saved one of the best for last!

Communication is always best
This was such a cute story! I enjoyed the focus on communicating your wants and needs and limits with your mate. I like that Nora was able to explain things to Dagesh and he was willing to listen. I also loved that Josie was such a pivotal part to his understanding what Nora needed. Honestly I love each time we get to see Josie and Haeden before they were Josie and Haeden. Nora did annoy me a little with how pissy she was about Analay and his “knowing” but I like that she realized she was being ridiculous at the end. I’m sad that this is the last of the series. I really love the original group and while IceHome is good, there is something special about the first women that found themselves in this world. All in all, I enjoyed this short look into Nora and Dagesh’s love story.

beautiful
I’m so sad this is the last book! I have loved this series since the very beginning. I can’t wait to see what else Ruby comes up with. Just amazing.

Another great book in the series
Barbarian Mine starts where Barbarian Lover ended. Harlow hears some voices and before she knows it she's kidnapped by unknown alien. I found it funny how Rukh thought she a creature, at first. Harlow hadn't even woken up yet and he already had possessive thought about her.I love how clueless Rukh is! I don't understand what it's about these clueless characters that doesn't understand things, like Rukh didn't know what was happening to him when his khui resonated for Harlow. I actually keep forgetting that these guys have horns for some reason. The romance is one of my favorites in the series. Most of the couples are 'will we, won't we' but that's not the case with Barbarian Mine. Rukh and Harlow are ready to do anything for each other. Rukh grew up thinking the other aliens are the bad ones but he's ready to go to them to keep her safe. I thought it was very sweet that Harlow wants to take care of him, like brushing his hair.I still have a problem with time jumps. I get why it was necessary with the plot but I'm just not fan of them. It was very interesting to see Rukh become less clueless and see his relationship develop with Harlow. I mostly enjoyed the book but I didn't understand how Rukh survived alone for so long and how Harlow gave up so easily.

Love love love
Fifty percent of the books in this series has me declaring that story's couple my favourite. I'm gonna do that again now. But since it's the last one I'm reading in this series until R'Jaal's resonance comes out, I guess Nora & Dagesh will have to stay my favourite!

Nice and fluid to read
This book was liddle bit.. Stumbling rushing in the beginning of the what happens beforeBut the story was good to readHere and there some mistakesThat annoys me like what ruby write in her afterwords. Nora's spanking in book 3, than the wedding I can't remember reading about it in any books it's a big thing so should be there too.Somehow I think there are to many kids and the village llage needs to expand. The tiny houses suddenly are big enough for 3 kids and adults? It's confusingI think... There should be a way between the canyans not far away from the village to an other hidden village.Empty and big so the people from the beach ore the main village can split and once a year they all. Meet and have a big party.Ore the beach people come to the secret hidden second village for brutal season so all can live together. The kids could find there resonance like this easier later 😜After all this books it feels like there is a real village full of lively people crying yelling running kids..When I close my eyes this aren't Yust books. This are now living beings in a village somewhere..I love it and it's sad that the girls from ship 1 and 2 are now done.At least ice home are 4 more resonance waiting. And I hope Tia ans sessah come together.
