Porsche 911 (997) - Model years 2004 to 2009 (Essential Buyer's Guide)

Totally generic
This book is a general overview of how to buy a used car. There's nothing specific to the 911, it doesn't address any of the cars shortcomings or well-known problems, how to investigate them or determine if they've been resolved. I guess if you have no idea as to what to look for when buying a used car, this would be a good book for you. For a 911 purchase, look elsewhere. I also bought the 997.2 book. Same problem

Great little book informative
This book is a reality check, gives you a good idea what to expect of what ownership would entail. Wish it would have included the second generation 997.

Disappointing
Just a general buyers guide which could apply to any performance used car, was hoping for known weaknesses and faults to look out for

Disappointed
A very basic book with no real 'pearls of wisdom'.I m no expert, but this book didn't tell me anything I didn't already know!
