VPL-VW50 Sony Projector Lamp Replacement. Projector Lamp Assembly with Genuine Original Philips UHP Bulb Inside.

If you have never replaced your lamp in your projector, find your manual or download one. It took my cousin and I a few moments but we figured it out. Definitely handle with care, I actually put on soft gloves to remove and replace my lamp. Be sure to purchase a new filter at the same time you are replacing the lamp. Have a air can handy and blow out all the dust you can, it will only extend the life of your projector and lamp.I reset my projector back to settings and it is beautiful!On a side note, it's June 19, 2018, this lamp is finally fading a bit, so almost two years and it has been used more than ever since my elderly mother moved in with me. Still five stars and about to order another one.

Didn’t last very long at all, burned out after 2 months of nightly use.

I have owned the Sony Pearl since 2008 and have replaced the bulb multiple times. These bulbs are by far the best I have owned. Exceeded all expectations. Unfortunately, the replacement bulb purchased from the same supplier only lasted four months. Because a variety of issues affect performance ALWAYS buy the extended warrantee!!! Even for the best bulbs. ALWAYS

Have ordered this bulb in the past with fairly good results, but it seems the quality has declined. The most recent bulb had a horrible plastic burning smell and very low light output (no more brightness than the bulb I was replacing that had 3000 hours on it). The only reason to give it two stars was that the seller was very accommodating with giving a full refund.

Easy to install and reset lamp life indicator. Huge improvement in picture quality. Our original lamp was 11 years old and just recently hit its end of life, this OEM lamp is priced higher than others, but once installed, the picture quality improvement was excellent. If this one lasts 10 years, then the cost difference per year vs. non-OEM lamps is less than $2 per year. Worth it!

Great fit, very bright. It only has about 50 hours on it so far, but still as bright as the day it was installed.
