Excellent craft project, love these Usborne Castles
I like to spend time with the children on craft and other other projects, just to give them some alternative to digital experiences. For our children aged 6 and 9 these Usborne paper castles are a little too hard to build on their own. But with some assistance of me we get quite some way. Moreover the youngest is quite interested in knights and castles was quite willing to assist . The end rests was very pleasing and there is an educational angle to it as well. But what i was missing was plastic toy knight like i used to have when I was much younger. So I ordered a box of 1/72 scale Teutonic knights that fit reasonably well with the castle and can stand on the walls. This massively enhanced the play value. The only problem is the size and scale - what do you do with the creation when it is finished.. ?The set is reasonably easy to put together . Though tit requires much cutting and gluing, it will cost you quite a few sessions. I would recommend a small pair of scissors, sturdy glue that can be applied in a precise manner a metal ruler and a craft knife. We used some small magnetic cubes (available on Amazon) to hold parts together while drying. All in all very pleased. Might try to find some more of these Usborne paper models, the cathedral perhaps. ..

Make this Castle----Usborne Cut-out models
Having completed "A Viking Settlement" and "A Roman Fort" from Usborne Cut-Out Models as therapy for my badly damaged hands:I am a 73 year old former professional speedway rider who is now payingthe price for that privilege and prefers this to electric shock treatment, I must make a commentconcerning the third model namely "Make this Castle". Why are the figures on this model not doublesided?? With the help of my computer and printer I was able to rescue this model in some small way,but I still feel that the model is far from perfect....all for the sake of a couple of quid. These models will be donated to a local junior school to try and incite some interest in history for the kids so I want them as good as possible.Regards, JJ.

Great Buy
I got this item to make a start on environment miniatures for my home D&D game and I can say that I am very happy with what I got here. I can kit out a small town for such a cheap price compared to the hundreds it would cost me to get plastic miniatures buildings. I think I will be repeating here in the future.

Great kit but needs application and care
This is excellent value although not quite perfect. It takes quite a lot of time to get it right and there are some slight imperfections with the base sheets not quite matching up and some colours not always matching on different pages. However, on the whole the end result is great for children to enjoy or for educational purposes. The card isn't very stiff and so I found reinforcing to be very useful. I used thin strips of wood and sometimes card spaced with wooden strips. The base certainly needs a good card base.

Far too complicated, even with the help of an adult
This was rather disappointing for my 7 year old grandson. It was far too difficult to do and therefore, even with help, it did not hold his attention,
