Great album if you dont like youve never been a weezy fan and shouldn be writing reviews on his work.
I was skeptical to pick this one up also, but im glad I did, I grabbed it from target so it came with two extra bonus tracks as well as the three songs from the deluxe edition. I listened to it from 1 to 20 through and all i have to say is wow this is just amazing, I thought tha carter III was extremely overrated, the second carter album is still my favorite but im having a hard time still saying that the more i listen to this album with this many tracks it feels like an old school lil wayne cd, and the only songs worth passing up are the original three you get with the deluxe edition, I highly recommend picking this up and if you do hit up target first novacaine is a BA song and thats the only way you can get it on the album, without the twenty tracks I'd give it four stars, but wow I cant stress how much ive enjoyed this cd already I keep switching from the R.E.D. album to this and they are both amazing, oh yea pick that up to while your at it, but like i said dont listen to the hating reviews because its obviously not lil wayne fans or rap fans, yea RAP stop saying this isnt hip hop because im pretty sure everyone knows that by know, he is going in a new direction just like yelawolf and its revolutionary. rock/rap done good like these two can pull off, all I have to say is they better Collab. Thanks for reading solid 4.8 stars either way you look at it, and look out for RADIOACTIVE!!! that'll be fire...

Weezy F Baby and the F is for Fallen Off
Overall, `Tha Carter IV' is a decent album with a couple solid tracks. However, it is not up to Lil Wayne's standards. Tha Carter III this is not. This is worth checking if you are a hip hop fan, but I do not think this has the commercial appear or quality of Wayne's usual work. Here is my track by track review of the album.1. `Intro'Good three minute flow. No chorus necessary. I really like this track. Very Big-Sean-esque.2. `Blunt Blowin'Not to exciting, but it has a catchy chorus3. `MegaMan'Wayne is on fire. Another three minutes of flowing, sans-chorus. Great track4. '6 Foot 7 Foot' Feat. Cory GunzWayne and Cory Gunz have some great lines on this track. It is a shame this got leaked last October.5. `Nightmares of the Bottom'Wayne really shows his feeling in this track. He gets real personal. Talks about his career, family, and life in a track that sounds like it has radio potential.6. `She Will' Feat. DrakeI think this is one of his best songs on the album. Really great beat, high production value.7. `How to Hate' Feat. T-PainVery vulgar and very auto tuned. A very average track.8. `Interlude' Feat. Tech N9ne and André 3000One of the best songs on the album. It's a bit short and Wayne is not even on the track.9. `John' Feat. Rick RossEven though this was released as a single. I don't know that it should have even made the album.10. `Abortion'I am still trying to figure out why this is called abortion.11. `So Special' Feat. John LegendThis song has a nice funky hook that John Legend seems to always have down pat. Good number.12. `How to Love'Decent song. It has really grown on me a lot. I did not like it all when it came out but a guy can change his mind.13. `President Carter'This is a strong song full of one liners. Quality stuff.14. `It's Good' Feat. Drake & JadakissBeyonce and Jay Z diss. I don't see the point of the slight but it is an ok track.15. `Outro' Feat. Bun B, Nas, Shyne & Busta RhymesThe Dream team goes H.A.M. on the track. Just what you would expect from some of Hip Hops best artists.Deluxe Edition Bonus Tracks16. `I Like the View'I say take it or leave it.17. `Mirror' (Feat. Bruno Mars)Could very well be a radio smash. A very self aware Wayne takes the mic with a relaxing Bruno Mars hook.18. `Two Shots'This song is just a waste of CD space. Another take it or leave it track.

Well Worth The Buy!
Phenomenal album. In his songs where its not just turn up music he broadens your perspective on many real world problems in President Carter and She Will he says many mind opening things. Wayne is a genius and when he goes for a song straight from the heart you can tell. Blunt Blowin is a great song with amazing word play (like usual for wayne) and the features he got in most of his songs are amazing!! Wayne has made a name for himself and etched his name in the rap game for eternity. People give this mixed reviews and say Tha Carter III has no problems with it at all but Tha Carter IV is an amazing follow up. All "Tha Carter" albums from Lil Wayne are legendary pieces of his career and solidify an awesome almost untouchable legacy. Can't wait for Tha Carter V!!!!!

some expectations just can't be met
this is a fantastic album, but not what i was expecting. honestly though, i was expecting something to be so unexpected that if it didn't involve feeling the song with at least 4 of my senses i was going to be disappointed. And i was, slightly. he shows a great deal of his versatility, some old talents that many of us who love him for Lights out will appreciate, as well as lyrical fire he worked on for his entire career but framed around tha carter 3 and dedication 3, perhaps a little in I Am Not a Human Being. The point is, like Hurricane Irene, it was built up to be bigger than we could expect, and now everyone's disappointed in the result, yet it was still probably the biggest storm any of us New Yorkers have seen in ages. You have to give it credit for what it is and not the album of your dreams which you will only hear in your dreams.
