I've gotten rid of all plastic from my kitchen. I'm using only glass and stainless steel. These glass containers are so much better than plastic or tupperware. I use for leftovers; I use for freezing spaghetti sauce, chili, even pork chops in mushroom gravy-- everything I make up in large batches then freeze in smaller meal size portions. I love the sound of the "snap" as I seal them, I know they're secured. I can take something from the freezer, remove the lid and microwave to defrost and heat. I bought a set of 4 larger ones and am using them as I did tw canisters for staples used all the time. I bought a bunch of stainless steel scopes in various sizes and they work great for powdered milk, dog food, maple sugar, etc. If you have a large dog, they probably wouldn't work as well as they'd require refilling more often. I have two small dogs and get a week or two out of each fill. They stack on top of one another on my counter taking up a lot less space.They're easy to clean, feel substantial and do the job. I especially like the GlassLock ones because the lids are silicon rather than plastic. Although they say that silicon leaches some when used with oils in cooking, on these containers, the lids are almost never in contact with food and not used when cooking, so it shouldn't be a problem. That's how I see it anyway. These are a much healthier food storage container system. I love these food storage containers and recommend everyone get rid of the plastic that's leaking unhealthy chemicals into our food. Note: Please read the specs and instructions for any and all glass containers you purchase, some are not microwavable.

I'm happy with the large capacity, no leaks, no odor transfer, and the sturdy glass. However, when I dropped it, a part of the plastic lid broke off (my fault). The downside is that they can't be stacked for storage, so they take up a lot of space.

I really do love genuine Glasslock containers-- purchased these because after several years we'd broken a few and "lent/lost" a few to our kids. Overall, I've had few quality issues with the genuine brand-- fortunately no experience with knock-offs. Occasionally a lip will get a sliver crack, or a lid will lose a tab (after at least a year of HEAVY use and dishwashing)-- but I consider that "regular wear and tear" for an item such as this. They come in a variety of sizes, great for lunches, putting away leftovers, or in my case, tumbling homemade Feta cheese and storing homemade cottage cheese and other soft cheeses. We have a wide selection in all sizes, and they are simply a staple in our kitchen storage repertoire.

Impossible to seal these. Cannot understand anyone saying they are good. Giving them away.

We like these so much we've ordered about a dozen of them now. We do a lot of meal prep and freezing and these containers are perfect for that. They stack nicely, the seal is air tight, and the glass sides allow you to see exactly what is inside. They are also dishwasher safe and easy to store. We've been using them for over a year and not had the warping issue others have had with the lids. They are all still air tight. We will continue to order these as needed for the freezer.

These are way overpriced. Similar options are available at Dollarama for a fraction of the cost. Silly me for buying these
