Pandaman 1-2 Person 4 season ultralight 20D nylon coated silicone waterproof 4000mm wind proof camping tent for backpacking, hiking, mountaineering (2P, WR)

Pandaman tent is good but it is small and identifies a two person capacity but that’s if you’re probably smaller than normal. Tent is waterproof construction seem solid. Overall quality of tent was good, would’ve kept it if it was bigger.

This tent comes with the tent inner, rainfly, footprint, aluminum tent poles, 10 stakes, and a repair kit. The weight of my recommended setup is about 4lbs (1900g) which includes everything except the repair kit. I originally wanted to leave behind the footprint and save about another half-pound, but the floor of the tent is very thin material and not waterproof. The footprint is a nice thickness, and is seam sealed, as is the rain fly. The stakes are very small (6”, 7.5g) and msr groundhog style. You definitely need to push them in with something besides your hand, they are quite thin and almost sharp on top.Assembly is pretty easy, there are two types of tie-offs, red ones and black ones. You line up all the red ones on the same side, and they thread through the ends of the tent poles. The main pole can really only go one way, with the double side going to the red loops.The tent size is a little small to be considered a two-person tent. It would be cozy for two full sized people, but for me (5’4’) and another person it wouldn’t be bad at all. I actually wanted this for using it on my solo trips with the potential to use with another person on occasion. This is super roomy and plenty of space for me and my gear, but for taller people the headspace is also pretty tight. If I could store my pack in one of the vestibules then I think it would be a better two-person tent, but they aren’t quite big enough for more than a couple pairs of shoes. I did appreciate them for my morning coffee prep, staying inside my tent and using the footprint for all my cookware. The fact that there is also two of them and two doors is also a huge plus if you wanted to use this with two people.I didn’t have any issues with condensation, between the double vestibules and the vent in the rainfly, but it was also a dry where I tested this at. I sprayed the rainfly with my hose just to make sure all my gear inside would stay dry, and it did. There are certain points on the side where I could see the rainfly being too close to the tent inner potentially causing problems, but there are additional tie out points on the rainfly where you can add lines and stake it out to pull it away more.My main concern is the bottom of this tent inner. It is very thin, and definitely not waterproof. With the provided footprint it’s not a huge deal, but it would have been nice to save a little more weight and leave that behind. At the end of the day, this is lighter than my current one person tent, and the price is a lot easier to swallow than anything much lighter. You could get similar weight and price tents with more headroom, but very few have double doors.

Took this tent on a Maine trip into the mountains held up well to wind and heavy dew plenty of room for two people will be using again soon
