Sigma24 mm F3.5 DG DN for Sony E Mount

One of the best camera lenses I have EVER used. Excellent edge-to-edge sharpness on full frame, with almost no field curvature. Even better on APS-C. Optically flawless at f/4. You cannot go wrong with this lens. AF is quick and accurate. Build quality is outstanding, especially the beautiful metal hood. Distortion is almost zero (and that’s native distortion, not software-corrected). Clearly there are people at Sigma who fondly remember the classic Pentax 24mm f3.5. As much as I like that lens, I like this one more. Buy it.

This lens is very sharp up to the edges. Slight barrel distortion and vignetting, which is perfectly normal for this focal length and easily corrected.The autofocus is silent and super quick.You can get very close to the object, closer than with other lenses with this focal length.The design is beautiful and the built quality is very good. It’s light weight and small, which in my opinion makes a lot more sense than the heavy bulky ones these days.I kept it. I like Sigma overall and I’m always impressed what you get for the money.

This is a very sharp and compact full-frame lens which works great on my A7ii.Before buying it I compared this lens to the Tamron 24mm f2.8, Samyang, the recent Sony 24mm G-series and could not be happier with it.Firstly it feels very solid and it's made of metal. Ergonomically speaking it allows to control aperture with a dedicated ring and to switch auto/manual focus with a button on the lens, which is very intuitive in the field to work with.Autofocus works great too, it is very precise and definitely swifter then my other Tamron and Sony (non G-series) full-frame lenses.I enjoy using it very much and would buy it again.

Avevo già il Sigma 45mm DG DN, che mi era piaciuto molto, e quindi mi aspettavo analoghe prestazioni da questo 24mm della stessa linea. Devo dire che l'obiettivo ha superato le mie migliori aspettative. In primo luogo é fatto tutto di metallo, con una qualità pari ad obiettivi ben più costosi; in secondo luogo é nitidissimo già a tutta apertura; infine é compatto, leggero e con i comandi ben disposti e facili da usare. L'autofocus é velocissimo e preciso. Ho fatto un confronto con il mio Zeiss Loxia 21mm, che costa più del doppio, e le differenze sono state veramente minime. Un solo dettaglio che non mi é piaciuto: se c'é un filtro sulla lente frontale il tappo magnetico non si attacca più. Peccato perché l'idea del tappo calamitato é buona ed innovativa

This is my 2nd 24mm lens as I also own a 24mm, Sony, f1.4, GM. Going in I was fine with the f3.5 aperture not being the fastest out there as I knew it would work for how I shoot, (day time landscape and city street, and also indoor group shots when I'm stopping down to get all faces in focus any way). I am really happy with this lens. The tiny size and weight, clicky aperture ring, and manual focus ring make the shooting experience so nice. Very good close focusing distance allows you to get right on top of your subject. It is wonderfully sharp and renders colors beautifully! Very manageable pin cushion distortion that goes away completely with in-camera corrections turned on without stretching the images, returning true results. I also love the metallic lens cap option, (cool). My only gripe is the very heavy vignetting, which makes the corners pretty dark. This is does not go away with the in-camera lens corrections. I was one who previously didn't care about this but it is especially pronounced with this lens, but at the great price I got for this thing,~$300 gently used I'll put up with it. This is a great lens. My 24mm, f1.4, G master still has its place, but this lens is a great 2nd 24mm for my portable Everyday carry camera!
