The Fit:I’m 5’5”, 180 lbs. I wear 34” waist jeans with a 30” inseam and roll my cuffs (so my actual inseam is about 28”). I think the medium would have fit me more like compression pants—which would have been fine—but the large is comfortable and certainly not baggy.The large is also a bit long, of course, but I can just double the extra fabric back over my ankles for another layer of fabric between my ankles and the hot exhaust.These fit well under my regular jeans, which are slim straight fit. You really can’t tell the tights are under there just by looking.The Performance:The tights are very breathable and provide plenty of airflow on the bike. They’re comfortable to wear, the padding is well placed, and they do not restrict movement in any way.HOWEVER, mine do not exactly match the picture: the inner thigh padding (the dimpled patches below the gray stripes in the product pic) is not included on my tights.I also thought from the description that they included some kind of knee padding, or at least pockets to add knee inserts, and that is not the case. The description says they eliminate the need for knee sleeves, but that would just mean having an unsecured insert held in place only by the tights, which does not seem like a great solution to me.I also agree with other reviewers that the amount of protection these tights provide is pretty minimal. But it’s certainly better than nothing, and I’m happy to have some degree of hip and butt protection that I can comfortably wear with my regular jeans on the road.Finally, I think the tights are a bit overpriced. This is not almost $100 worth of padding and fabric, by any means. But it’s hard to find any other padded/armored tights that are anywhere near as mobile, comfortable, and low-profile as these, so I guess they can charge whatever they want for them.Overall, I am reasonably satisfied with these. I’m not blown away, but they will suffice and that’s why I bought them.

Confortable

These are great for light trail riding or enduro racing where comfort is extremely important, but the protection is nothing but a few millimeters of soft padding which wouldn't do much to protect from hard impacts.
