The inside diameter is 10 1/8 inches. If your plate is larger then that the two 3/4 inch lips will rest on your plate

Q: My microwave is over my stove. It is a heavy glass?

It is on the heavy side, especially compared to plastic ones. I’d say approx. 2.5-3 lbs. My microwave is also over a stove and I have not had any issues putting it in or getting it out. I’d also suggest to carefully consider measurements, including flaps on a side, as they may get in the way in smaller microwaves with rotating bases.

I don’t know, but mine is holding up great after several months.
