Good travel set
So I am sharing photos of two travel sets I recently purchased that are both available on Amazon. The wood set cost 33% more than the plastic one. The wood one is an incredible bargain. I like everything about it. The magnets could be a little stronger as shown in the one photo where the pieces are sliding down (note when I turned it upside some pieces fell off in the process, but they stayed on when I replaced them)That being said, the plastic one is a better travel set. It’s thinner and more likely not to break if dropped. Rain wouldn’t hurt it. The magnets are very strong and the pieces would probably not get knocked off in airline turbulence or aggressive automotive maneuvers. I biggest gripe is that there is an insert for the individual pieces. That feature is invaluable for ensuring you don’t lose pieces. So in summary, I actually like both sets. The plastic one would be a 5-star review if it had an insert for the individual pieces. The wood one is a phenomenal bargain. The playing squares are actually inlaid pieces of wood.

I was delighted to find several less expensive versions on Amazon
This is my second Reversi purchase. I have fond memories of growing up playing Othello with my sister and grandmother and have looked for Othello in toy stores for years. I was delighted to find several less expensive versions on Amazon.com. I ordered two : this Backpack Reversi and the Oshello game with folding board for 19.99.Oshello ($19.99)-Larger board, week magnets cause tiles to move a little when pushed inadvertantly; Board is large and looks substantial and i really like tile holders.Backpack Reversi ($10.76)- Cheaper price but much smaller board. Doesn't look as substantial if giving as a gift. Comes packaged in a really cute bag and carabiner clip but lacks the tile holders of the other larger set (substitutes tiny zip loc bags). Lacks the grooves to hold tiles in place but somewhat makes up for it by providing stronger magnetized pieces. I was able to turn the board all directions without having the tiles slide off. Very tiny and easy to throw into a beach bag. If you are looking for tiny and portable, you might like this version.

Amazing Entertainment for the Size, Weight, and Cost
Amazing entertainment for the size, weight, and cost. I bought one of these for backpacking. I don't take the orange carrying bag to save weight. This is one of the few "luxuries" I bring with me. I love this thing. I've since decided to buy a second set to keep in my car 24/7. My only complaint is that I wish they sold a pair of extra Queens separately (for promoting a pawn with a queens already on the board). I sometimes even put this in my back pocket when walking with my girlfriend to the park. I've had none of the issues with magnets mentioned in other reviews. I even contacted support once to get those extra queens and they were extremely responsive and helpful.

Great idea but missing pieces, poor quality
The size and weight of the board are perfect for backpacking/travel. Unfortunately mine was missing a knight piece and had a pawn instead. Plus, one of the magnets kept falling out of another piece.

Checkers stay put on board
Daughter & family bought an RV, needed some games to occupy children 7,8 & 9. Perfect board size for the vehicle table & checkers really do adhere to the board -even around corners & sliding between players. Board is a bit flimsy but appropriate for the price. Would purchase again.

Great size for RV
Very well made, lays flat and pieces hold on board. This size is perfect for our RV. Love how it folds and all the pieces fit inside.

Magnetic pieces
I think travel size is nice but it’s a little bit to small

Too tiny, magnets fall out!
Even for a travel chess set this is too tiny! And the magnets keep falling out of the pieces. This is cheaply made and crap- save your money!
