I purchased an identical clock of the same brand for 12.99 from a Hallmark Shop about 8 years ago. I've always loved this clock. It's fun and whimsical. I had it on my desk in my office for years and received alot of compliments on it...until one day, I knocked it over by accident. The face of the clock remained intact but the mechanism in the back was shattered.I am so grateful I found this same clock on Amazon. The first one that was shipped to my home had some issues. The hands stuck together and didn't move properly. I think the problem lies with how it's packaged. The hands are not sufficiently protected. I immediately returned it for a replacement and the replacement is perfect. My advice is when you change the battery on the back, be very careful not to touch the hands on the front so you don't mess up the hands mechanism. Other than that, you have nothing to worry about.(Well, don't drop it!) Highly recommend for lovers of the whimsical.

You can tell just from looking at the image on Amazon that the clock is funny. What you cannot tell is how good it feels when you take it out of the box the first time and hold it in your hands. This clock was made with intelligent design and is high quality. The wood frame is not shabby, but sheik. The tile face is heavy (but not too heavy) and the lettering is distinct.I bought this clock as a surprise gift for my husband who loved it when he saw it in a magazine. I figured we'd get sick of it quickly and sell it at a garage sale, but every time I see it on the wall I am very pleased with the purchase. It is - of course - better as a source of humor than time, but it fulfills its purpose elegantly: to mock the clock and make us smile! I don't believe we'll be getting rid of it for a while. And in the meantime, perhaps we will learn the nuances of the positions of the arms and better be able to tell what time it is. Or not. ;o) Whatever.

I love this in my bathroom - it fits my morning mood most days!

I received this clock about 15 years ago when I moved into our house. It's virtually impossible to tell time on it, but I love this clock. So I bought it again recently as a housewarming gift. The first one arrived broken -- the entire battery pack was in pieces. I returned in and got a new working one. Two issues you have to watch for: 1) the battery is a VERY snug fit (you almost feel like you will break it by inserting a battery). The trick is to push the battery in all at once (don't try to put one end in and then the other side). 2) The clock hands are so thin and pliable. They can so easily be bent and stick to each other and cause the clock to pause. But they are easy to bend back. And once it's hung on the wall, you never touch it again until you need to change the battery and everything is fine.

It didn't look cheap. It was a perfect size and looked more expensive than what I paid for it.

A good friend gave me this clock 10 years ago to hang at our Boathouse. Everyone loves it!! When we are there and someone asks the time, we say ‘Whatever’.Through the years weather took its toll. I just reordered our 5th one plus an extra for fear they will quit making them. We all LOVE it!

I am really dissapointed with Amazon. I went to order a specific clock for my mom and it was out of stock so I added it to my wish list. Well I got an email a couple weeks later saying the clock was available. As soon as I saw that I pulled out my credit card and purchased it. I went home and showed my husband and he pointed out that it was not the same clock. I was kind of upset that I would recieve such a deceiving email. So I tried to cancel my order. They said they were in the process of canceling it. A week later I have paid for a clock I did not want and it is sitting in my living room in a box. Thanks Amazon.... Next time I will think twice before I order from you. I did however find someone else who sold the clock it was a little more expensive but worth knowing I was getting what I paid for.

Da habe ich für wesentlich mehr Geld schon deutlich schlechtere Gehäuse gesehen: Sehr solide verarbeitet! Das Uhrwerk tickt allerdings sehr laut.

I broke my first one so I had to search the web for the replacement which is great.
