Great drone for all skill levels! Awesome camera!
This drone is so fun I feel compelled to write a review! I will use as much detail as possible as to why I enjoy it so much! First is the case. It is durable and keeps the drone well protected. As a hiker I like to take it on outings often so a solid case is a plus. Next I like that it has 2 batteries. These batteries last longer than any I have had yet, with my longest flight over 25 minutes and still wasn't returning home! 2 charge cables that are C port are included. There is a extra set of propellers included as well. The real neat part about them is they require no tools to change. Simply push down and turn each propeller as the arrow states for on/off. They are spring loaded and work very well! The remote works as most do, and controls are reversible. The phone holder works well as does the app, although not required. If you want photos and videos you will need to download the free app OR install a SD card in the drone. I prefer the app so I can see exactly what my photos will look like and where the camera is pointing. The camera is 4k and impressive for this price range drone. It has a 90 degree tilt controlled by a small wheel on top of the remote. Video quality is amazing and it is very easy to take still shots while using video in the app. This drone has a home feature that works flawless. When the battery gets too low it returns "home" and will land where it last took off from. It gets a great GPS signal even in dense areas I did not expect it to. At any time you can push the home button and the drone will automatically return to the take off point. There is a "follow me" feature as well that is interesting. By turning this on in the app the drone will follow the remote. Definitely cool if you want to see yourself running or driving slow! I have not yet used the point of interest function, but I'm sure it will work as great as everything else has! The drone is incredibly easy to fly and more stable than any of my other drones. I would recommend it for any skill level! It also did much better than expected when the winds were a bit more than I anticipated. The camera stayed steady and it didn't seem to struggle at all. Be sure you are in fast mode though, as well as turn off beginner mode in the app if you use that! The extra power makes it much easier to control in my opinion. OverlanderBenny on the YouTube is where you can see a full review and pictures/video from this drone!

Excellent Drone! Love the camera and video quality!
I already have the Holy Stone HS720E 4K EIS (fold up drone) and wanted a rigid model to compliment it in my fleet. I have had great luck with the HS720E so I thought I would give the HS700E a try. Unboxing it, I was very happy to see the padded case with compartments for the drone and components. It has the same remote as my HS720E, so it was a quick set up. I rated this as good for a beginner, yet feel that this rating is applicable to older kids and adults that will take the time to follow the instructions. This thing is awesome to fly and the camera and stability is great (I like it better than my HS720E, and that one takes nice videos and pictures). Another aspect I really liked are the quick attach/detach blades. The blades and arms are clearly marked A & B along with the fact they can only press and twist into the correct arms. I recommend starting in the low speed before moving to high speed. Also, it was defaulted to a beginner mode (won't go very far out and up). Make sure you check the mode if you feel it is not responding to the remote, as the beginner settings will stop it from going very far. This thing has a lot of features found in much more expensive drones (follow me and orbit are a couple cool features). My only gripe would be the 5 hour charge time. Being this drone is at a decent price point, you can always pick up a couple more batteries on Amazon. I recommend doing that after you try the drone out for a while to make sure it is a keeper for you (as the batteries are model specific) Bottom line, this is a great drone and you will not be disappointed with the drone or the customer service from Holy Stone (I have had good luck with both). Enjoy the video I attached to help you with your decision.

Good starter drone, but some caveats
Good drone, got it set up and running pretty quick. It wouldn't start the first time and the app said 'Can't take off without idle mode' but the manual doesn't mention idle mode anywhere. I had no idea what it meant or how to turn it on or what the deal was. I turned everything off, turned it all on again, and it worked. I should have included in my original review that I *think* idle mode is started with a quick press of the lock button on the controller, which starts the propellers but doesn't cause it to take off. I use the app on my Galaxy Note Ultra 20 and the clip holds it fine, even in a case. You have to connect to the drone's network to fly, but that's not a problem. The picture is good, but it doesn't control very precisely. If you just let it hover, it will sway right and left, fly a little in one direction or another, and it never seems to respond tightly to the controls. It does fly and you can generally fly it around no problem, but it will add English (like in billiards, I mean, you know, spin) to any direction you give it, so for precise movements this would not be a good choice. VERY IMPORTANT: Turn off beginner mode in the settings! If you don't, it will greatly limit the range and control you have over the drone. The manual doesn't mention it, and I only discovered that through an obscure Reddit post. I almost thought it was defective and was going to return it until I found that info.

Good quality and excellent customer support
I purchased the Holy Stone 700E while it was on a Black Friday sale after reading many reviews. Also purchased the spare parts package for extra propellers and propeller guards upon recommendation of another purchaser. I am an amateur drone flyer; and I plan to use the drone for fun with grandkids. The HS700E build quality is high. It is easy to learn the transmitter controls as well as the app. This is due in large part to the very good instruction manual that comes with this drone. The controller has a screen that provides useful flight information. I have found it easy to pair this drone to the controller as well as to calibrate the compass. There are many flight features that can make this drone fun to fly - outdoors. These include Follow Me, Point of Interest and Way Point mode. Unfortunately collision detection is not included. Would be useful for both indoor and outdoor flying. The propeller guards help to mitigate the lack of collision detection. The guards firmly attach to the arms; and provide a fair amount of propeller protection should the drone come into contact with an object during flight. The extra set of propellers will reduce any anxiety when flying the drone. Particularly when grandkids are having the fun. The weight of the HS700E puts it in a category that requires FAA registration and remote id function. FAA registration is not difficult to accomplish. I completed the Recreational UAS Safety Test without any trouble; and I am not good at taking test. I learned a lot about safety going through these processes; and the HS700E features and quality are superior to toys on the market. Remote id functionality is not included internally with this drone; however, the FAA lists it as being compliant. This might be because Holy Stone markets an external remote module; and I found that their customer support will work with you while making a new purchase. I found the Holy Stone customer support team to be far superior to other customer support services that I have needed to contact. During a ‘chat’ my connection was lost. The team member reached out to me via email to continue our ‘discussion’. She understood my issue; and readily presented a very satisfactory solution. On a subsequent call I reached call waiting and opted to end call. Much to my surprise my call was returned a short time later. It’s comforting to find a truly responsive customer support service.

Junk-bought TWO remote and drone do not pair
Bought two of these drones and they both had the same issue the controller and the drone would not pair. Called support and they said to move to a different location so I moved to three different locations, down the street and an open field and what I want vacation about 50 miles away and a open field and it’s still would not pair both of them. My experience with support was a representative reading from a script doing all the troubleshooting that I did actually less because I visited forums and spoke to current and previous owners of this drone that had similar issues. Save yourself your time, money, effort, energy, and avoid this company or at least this model drone. The drone looks cool well built and the price keeps coming down. I think they originally started at 250. I bought mine for $95 and now they’re at $79 so what does that tell you? They know there’s a problem and they’re just trying to get rid of them. Junk avoid.

After a year of use, still excellent!!
I chose to wait a year before doing this review, due to some drones doing great at first before the quality takes a nose dive... No such worries here! The drone flies the same way it did when I first got it, and the gimble/frame it's attached to not only make for easier landings, the added weight allows it to handle the wind more safely as opposed to some of the smaller/lighter drones that get damaged easily. The battery life is definitely impressive for a drone this size/in this price range. The battery for the drone itself is rechargeable, but the controller takes a couple double A batteries. The only negative thing I have to say about the battery in general is that I have found it a bit difficult to purchase another battery, but maybe I just haven't searched for it enough. I don't really ever use the App/have my phone attached to controller, but from the few times I did it seemed to be standard affair. The GPS connection/flight calibration is super easy/always works properly, while the pictures/videos are definitely above average when you compare them to other drones of a similar price range. The camera is mounted to the drone with these little jelly bean shaped rubber pieces, they are shock absorbers and make your videos WAY more smooth/less 'motion sickness' causing. I have included a couple pictures I took during a flight I did, as well as the harrowing moments just prior to me being run down by an old school red Corvette. The assailant was estimated to be 3-5 years old and showed no remorse for his actions. He also refused to take a field sobriety test, but I digress.... As far as this drone goes, the only thing about it that I don't really like is how it won't fit in it's carrying case with the propellers attached. Fortunately you can take the propellers off by hand, but still... I just leave them on the drone and carry the case upright since the top has to remain unzipped. Other than that, I love everything about this drone and look forward to many more successful flights with it!

Solid Reliable Drone Platform HS700E
The HS 700E is at the top of the market in this price point. It is built solid and fly's very well. You will need to register with FAA via the drone zone due to it being over 250 grams. It comes with two sets of quick change propellers, that's right, no screws here, two batteries, controller and a soft case with foam insert for all the above to keep them safe. You can fly this via GPS with with or without a phone or tablet. If you want to fly first person view and use all the additional features via the Ophelia Go app you will need a phone or tablet that is capable of connecting to the drones 5G wi-Fi network. The controller connects to the drone via 2.4 ghz. 400 feet high is the limit in the USA and you will have no issue reaching that. In my testing I can get out about 500 to 600 feet distant at 400 ft altitude before losing video connection, your phone may be different. Its definitely far enough to get some great still shots or 4k video. The drone accepts up to a 128gb Micro SD card. I have a hard time getting the sd card out of the slot without using tweezers due to it laying flat against the body surface but not a big issue. With GPS locked the drone holds position very well even in 15mph wind and the Electronic Stabilization does a pretty good job of keeping the shake to a minimum. Without a camera gimble you will see the horizon tilt if the drone is tilted by the wind. Picture quality is pretty darn good at this price point. You can control the cameras up and down motion from the remote control but I wish it moved a little slower and precisely. It has a return to home feature that worked every time I tried it. This is a great feature if you lose connection with the drone. Pre-flight set your RTH altitude to get over the highest object in your area, and up and back it will come. Like I said this drone is solid. It doesn't have the foldable arms that break when you crash. I pushed it a few times and hit some metal poles. I dented a few props but the drone is unscathed. There are many more features I'm not going to cover here but overall I'm happy with this. ***I would not recommend this for a beginner especially a child or teen due to its complexity and weight. This could hurt someone if it fell out the sky or if the props were driven into someone. IF your an adult you certainly could work your way through the instructions, calibrating the compass, as well as getting info from several Holystone Facebook groups. If not I highly recommend starting with a toy drone such as the Holystone HS190 with prop guards( or similar HS models) on so you can learn the basic controls of up/down, forward/backward, left/right, and the confusing for beginners, Axis left/right. It will save you from a lot of heartache. Don't expect this to perform like the thousand dollar drones out there and you will be very pleased. Its a great platform to learn from and another hit from Holystone.

Holy Stone HS700E, My Experience So Far....
This is actually my first real drone. Wanted something with EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization), and 4k video. This one seemed to have good reviews. Amazon was having a sale so went ahead and did the purchase. So I'll make a "PRO" and "CON" list of my own experience so far. As an FYI, I will most likely return this in a few days due to the battery/power issues listed in the CON's section below if it doesn't seem to improve after I fly it a few more times. PRO's: Very solid built. Doesn't have a cheap, toy feel to it. Feels like an adult professional use drone. The app is super easy to use and get used to. The set-up out of the box was simple. Its remarkably quiet considering it has larger propellers. This may not be a plus to some people, but this is a non-folding drone, so you dont have to worry about the weak points at the hinges where the arms unfold. I have several friends who have cracked and arm when the drone fell, so not having the hinges seems like that risk is eliminated. Customer service is very fast to respond - but be sure to look at the caveat to that in the "CONS" below. The image stabilization is very good in light wind and small gusts. The remote controller uses replaceable batteries which I personally like. CON's: Battery life is terrible on the drone! On lowest speed and just basic use it lasts just under 15 mins. The reviews all say this comes with 2 batteries, but it actually only came with 1 battery. Customer service although quick to respond to e-mail, said that that is normal for this drone even though the ad says it has a flight time of 23 minutes. I'm aware that that is under most optimal conditions, but under 15 mins to 23 mins is a huge discrepancy. Customer service says that is normal and nothing they can do. They also said this particular kit from Amazon only comes with 1 battery, although just about every review states it comes with 2. So, if it only has 1 battery and you need to buy a second, it's definitely way over-priced. Not worth the cost even if it was slightly on sale.
