Especially great for senior bunnies
Super easy to put together, I bought this because my rabbit is like 13 yrs old and he seemed to not be doing great on the wire bottom cage, and I really wanted to get him a new cage for a while and they all had not so great reviews. I found this one. The only thing I wish was different is that I really wish there were other color options. Not a fan of the red bottom. But anyways, my rabbit loves it. He loves the space, comfort, etc sometimes he just lays on his side all happy. It’s easy to clean if you go with my method which is puppy pads on the bottom and bedding on top of the puppy pads. That way it’s easy to scoop up and toss. Takes me literally 2 mins. It’s a lot wider than the last cage which I’m happy about as well. If you’re looking for a nice comfortable cage for your bun bun I highly recommend this one. It’s spacious and comfortable. The only thing is, because it’s not wire bottom I suggest you clean it possibly even 2x a week, and invest in a little liter box to train them to go to the bathroom in, to avoid any poop/bedding getting stuck to them. Also the picture says otherwise but I took the ledge out since he’s old and could get up there, making it more spacious for him. Highly recommend!

Beautiful cage!
This is a great cage for guinea pigs! I wish I could fit a larger cage but I live in a small apartment in NYC and rent is too high ahaha. I looked for hours trying to find the perfect cage and I am so happy I got this. The color is very attractive, and plastic cages are easy to clean (dump all the bedding and scrub!!) Initially, I ordered the Midwest cage, the green one with the canvas bottom but I canceled my order after reading how difficult upkeep was. I don't have a washing machine in my home so doing fleece isn't an option. I wanted to put a coroplast bottom on the canvas cage but my nearby home depot doesn't have any in stock ahaha and I don't have a car....So yea this cage was honestly the best I could get for my pigs. Setting up was ok, it was weird putting in the side because they have to click...Or they won't be even and it'll seem like they sent you wrong parts! So yes you definitely need some muscle to set this cage up. The top part of the cage is definitely a little weak because it's so large, but I don't mind, I'm not putting very heavy things on it anyway. I hope this review helps; obviously if you can use a bigger cage for your pigs then please do!!! Also, consider buying a fence so you can set up a safety perimeter to give them some floor time! **by the way, this cage comes with a water bottle (small) and a hay rack (also pretty small). There are stairs but they are at a 90 degree angle lol so the pigs can't use it anyway, my pigs know how to jump up to the platform. And if anyone is wondering, I have two boys. Goofy is ~1.5 years old and Coco is still young, we don't know how young exactly, but he's definitely less than 6 months.

Perfect secondary cage for adult male rats
I purchased this as a secondary cage for my male rats to serve as a miscellaneous use cage. I use it to quarantine new rats from the primary cage, I use it for when I'm cleaning the primary cage and I plan to use it if any of the rats get sick or too old and need a cage that is easier to navigate due to loss of mobility or anything like that. I wasn't certain if this cage would work thinking that the spacing of the bars might be a risk but I gambled on it and I'm glad I did. I have had all six rats in the cage at the same time during deep cleaning days for their main cage and have had two rats live in it for two weeks when I first brought them home before introducing them to my other rats. None of the rats have escaped the cage nor even seem to have any interest in trying to do so which one of my rats in particular is an escape artist. I think this is the perfect size cage for what I use it for. It does seem small in my opinion for rabbits or guinea pigs but I don't have either of these types of animals and don't know their space or living requirements. I assume this would only be a cage for sleeping purposes and that they would need a larger pin for space to run around in. You can buy attachments for the cage I think but I don't need to do so. As a primary cage for rats I would not recommend it unless you have a sick rat or a rat that is having issues moving around. I would also not recommend this for small rats or female rats. My rats are adult male which makes them bigger. Rats also need a larger living space vertically rather than horizontally. I would definitely recommend a critter nation/midwest cage as a primary cage for rats. They can be quite costly but check local listings like craigslist and you can find them for cheaper. I got my double critter nation at a steal for only $80 so definitely look around in your area!

great purchase
This cage was perfect for what we wanted, including the size, neutral colors, doors, bar spacing, price and accessories. (Its large!) Our water bottle worked perfectly and was easy to install and it and it's attachment are silent mechanism. The hay dispenser looks flimsy but is actually quite sturdy once attached. Assembly is easy and fast. BUT- the first part of building this enclosure is attaching the grey side panels to the burgundy base. I did need to use the hammer. (Alot of pushing to try and align with base) At 1st it seemed there was no way the grey previously attached panels would attach to the base without altering or removing some chunk of plastic off, but I decided to actually force it, and it does need to click . (Only 2 or 3 of the 4 side panels would attach at once , but without clicking and looking misaligned). Attach all 4 grey pieces and then do use force if needed, get them into the base (I hammered once per corner). If you follow instructions in this review, building should be under 10-15 mins. (Included instructions are pretty vague). Took longer than I'd hoped, before I decided to risk and force it. Once built, Smores (young abyssinian guinea piggie) absolutes loves his new Wabitat! He has run quite a few laps and has been making himself at home. The included locking clips don't attach with a strong hold, which in our case doesn't matter. The front door is fantastic and is effortless to open. (Our piggie has regular cuddle sessions). The guage of the metal has some give, in case you're heavy handed, but not too bad (strong enough). Hutch and bowl are okay, but we set them aside for now. (Hutch can hide multiple animals if they're small!) We prefer a hide or two and more play-space (no hutch). I do not recommend to anyone placement of items on top of this habitat when closed. If your pet can escape from the top, secure the top door with bag ties or wire grips. This item did take a while to ship, but arrived promptly. It was shipped safely in my opinion but I did immediately check for cracks in the base. I rated 4 stars and will update to 5 if I have no complaints later in time and the product proves to last.

VERY BIG!!(
I was kind of skeptical on how this cage would turn out based on some reviews, but overall I LOVE IT!! We have a Lion Head bunny (Charlie B. 😂) and he’s kind of on the chubby side. He’s also pretty long when he stretches out so I was scared that this cage might not be big enough for him to really move around.. but it’s HUGE! Way bigger than I expected. He has enough room to hop around and stretch out comfortably. The cage came with instructions which made it pretty easy to setup… took me about 10-15 mins (I have littles who kept distracting me and I was tuned into Netflix lol), so it might not even take you that long. It came with a bowl & a water bottle but I already have ones that attach to the cage to avoid spills, plus the water bottle is on the small side. The cage is pretty sturdy which I like as well. There are groves on the bottom of the cage so I put down pads to help with the clean up. I just set it up & will do an update in a month or so! (

Pretty big
At first glance, when you receive the package for this cage, you may look at the box and be surprised at its size. Fear not, however! Inside this box you’ll be provided with not just the bare minimum cage necessities, but you’ll also be met with an arrangement of accessories, such as a hidey hutt, a water bottle, and a food dish. We purchased this cage when it was on a sale and we got 2 for $60 each. It has been the best decision!! They’re very efficient and some notable points are that it’s squared off, so bunnies can’t crawl behind it like they could with our previous cages. The front piece of the cage can be completely lifted up, so when you let them roam about they have a spacious exit. We were hesitant about using the hay feeders initially, but despite them not being very large, if you pack hay into it tightly, then your bunnies will have a fun time pulling out the knit pieces. Overall, this cage is pretty neat. Between the edge clasps that secure the frame in place and the unique water bottle clip that holds the bottle securely in place, we are extremely satisfied with our purchase. The price is the cherry on top for this product, and our furry friends are even happier to have a nice upgrade!

Exactly what I needed
Purchased this along with the wood house and extention. Living in the extreme heat of the summers in south Florida, I did NOT let my 2 rabbits outside. Kept this large cage with accessories in the house with a fan where it was cooler pretty much from July to September. Also they go in this in the house every evening for safety. They seemed to like it as it had some substancial room: ramp to keep food and water up out of the bedding/poopy area and the wood box was filled with hay for hiding and sleeping. Quite large and cumbersome to drag outside and clean but that was my problem not theirs. They do have a grande cage for outdoors. If you need to take care of your furry pets properly, totally recommend. Have spent WAY too much on other cages and even making cages. This is far better.

Ended up working okay
I ordered two of these Midwest Homes For Pets Wabbitat cages. They are NOT easy to put together. I had to call the farmer and his wife from down the street to come help. I told him to bring a hacksaw. We needed it. The pegs for putting the white plastic onto the bottom red plastic don’t line up. Since I bought two, we checked and both were the same way. We had to cut two pegs off each one in order to put them together. There were many other things that were not easily explained in the directions also. Once together, it’s okay, not a five star by no means but has some good qualities. I mostly like the height of the bottom. Most cages (I’ve bought 3) aren’t deep enough and bedding and hay go all over the floor. This one keeps it in the cage which for me is a huge plus. Also the different ways you have for getting your guinea pig out and also your hands in for cleaning is good. The size is also a plus. It’s not the sturdiest cage but I got a table for both and as long as you’re not moving it all around it’s good. Once on the table we don’t have a reason for moving it. When vacuuming we just slide the table. I would suggest this cage due to its pluses.

The perfect size
High quality recommended for rabbits 🐇

The best cage I could find
Perfect. The drinker drips, the ladder is not good for my guinea pig. I organized a light renovation and now my Pearl is delighted.

Spacious cage
I got the extension to go with the cage and my guinea pig is happy with the space after spending months coped up in a small tank in the pet shop. Assembly wasn't too difficult. Just have to make sure that the cage isn't assembled inside out, in that case, which means the sides will not fit well.

Calidad y buen precio
