SEIKO 5 Automatic Made in Japan Watch SNXM17J5

I bought this as a gift for my fiancee as he likes smaller watches. The dimensions are all listed on these watches, so it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone the size of the face. It is a bit involved to set the day and date, but once it's done, all you have to do is wear the watch and it keeps wound. Fit and finish is very nice, and the box/watch were in unopened condition. There is no ticking from this watch; the second hand sweeps. The band is a little tricky to adjust but once it's close, fine adjustments can be quickly made day-to-day by moving the spring-loaded pin at the clasp mechanism. The back is mineral (see through) so don't plan on engraving the back. The glow in the dark (if it has any) doesn't work very well. Maybe it will improve as it is exposed to light. He wanted a Made in Japan product and the one I received has Japanese (I think) as the second language on the day indicator. Not too sure how well it keeps time since we've only had it a few weeks.

always good to have made in japan on the dial. Solid. Functional. Classic. What else do you expect from a under 100 watch? Its rare to see made in japan seiko five nowadays. Most of them are make in malaysia, which I don't really appreciate. I only gave 4 stars because the day indcator is in english/Arabic.......lol wtf?

I bought and then returned this because I got something similar as a gift, wishing I'd held onto it now — these are hard to find and really cool, especially for the money.

Bought it for my son’s birthday. He has worn it regularly for almost eight months and is very proud of it.

It is a neat watch. Seiko 5 watches are life time watches. I have the black dial and now the white. Very dependable. I am well pleased.

I like the size and it’s light weight.nice to wear.
