SYLVANIA LED TruWave Natural Series Globe G25 Light Bulb, 40W Equivalent, Efficient 4.5W, 350 Lumens, Dimmable, Frosted, 2700K, Soft White - 6 Pack (40887)

These are the best "dimmable" LED bulbs I have found; I wish I'd found these before I tried 9 or 10 other so-called "dimmable" bulbs. These dim smoothly down to ~10-20% before cutting off. There is a very little flicker when dimmed to 50% or more, which you can see if you look directly at the bulbs -- but it is not enough to be noticeable if you are just washing your hands or whatever around the room. If you're just using the room, the overall lighting is consistent and there's no discernible flickering. These are WAY better than any other LED so-called "dimmable" bulbs I tried; all my other tries flickered really noticeably if dimmed. I got the frosted Sylvania bulbs, which I found have a consistent color temp and lighting output at all dimming levels; one might find flickering more noticeable if you buy the "Edison style" bulbs that are not frosted. Also, the frosted bulbs I received are very clean looking, with no writing / printing on any visible part of the bulb. I will grant the opaque frosted bulbs are not as artistic as fancy "Edison-style" clear bulbs, but a clean look and consistent functioning is more important to me.

I needed bulbs for light fixtures that had clear shades, like a powder room or bar. These did the trick, they're dim enough to not bother you if you accidentally look at them straight on with no shade, but bright enough to light the room.Other reviews mentioned words printed on the end of the bulb, but this seems to no longer be the case, as seen in my picture.

I use in overhead chandelier-type light over dinner table. So far I have replaced two of the five 40W incandescent bulbs in this fixture with these LED bulbs as the incandescents burn out.Pro: Somewhat whiter/clearer light output than the incandescents.Cons: Label etched into glass on end of bulb, rather than on or near base, so inappropriate for situations where a bare bulb is displayed end-on such as in bathroom vanities. A bit slow to turn on; other LEDs I've switched to (of various manufacture, size, and wattage) for other fixtures activate roughly at same time as incandescents, but these take a good quarter of a second or so to light up, presenting a very obvious staggered activation of the remaining incandescent bulbs followed by the LEDs.

Worked fine

Light bulbs themselves work fine but the globes are painted on the inside to provide a ‘frosted’ look.Several of the bulbs had small chips in that paint which impacts how they look. Specks of clear glass so they don’t look good in fixtures where the bulbs are visible. Won’t purchase again

Perfect for my 4-bulb vanity lights.

Exactly what I expected. No failures so far, about a month of regular use.One batch had the bulb specs printed on the top, as is typical for standard bulbs (A19). As these globe shaped bulbs are typically used decoratively and the whole bulb is visible I removed the printing very easily with a non-scratch Scotch-Bright pad.

These bulbs were exactly what I was looking for in my bathroom. Frosted, warm white, and dimmable.The only reason it's getting 4 stars is because my fixture leaves the bulbs exposed (as I assume most bathroom vanity-style fixtures would) and there is information about the brand/size/wattage printed on the top of the bulb. Not ideal, but not the biggest problem unless you're looking right at it.

6 of these bulbs frosted bulbs were Installed above the bathroom mirror.40W / 4.5W LED on a dimmer switch provided enough light and is easy on the eyes.Long life and low power use being cost effective.

The description explains and shows 6 Pack Bulbs. I received only 2 Pack Bulbs.
