Panasonic KX-TCA400 Over The Head Headset

I am not a serious gamer or a techie...I am a parent who needed sturdy decent quality headsets for two kids and their friends to use with xbox live games. They fit snugly into the xbox headset port, have a nice long cord so there is no tension between their heads and the controller and have been passed around and used and probably a little abused amongst all the kids playing with no signs of breaking in 3 months and counting. The kids say the microphone works great and they can hear everybody dandy. I like the fact they have one ear free to hear me holler at them to keep it down when a newbie gamer uses the Hammer of Dawn in an enclosed area and annihilates the friendlies...one can only handle so much Halo drama before hollering. I have discovered the two ear models make it very difficult to communicate with kids during campaigns so I like the one ear part. These are not the expensive Sennheiser's I use for conference calls, but who cares for $16. They are sturdy, comfortable enough to wear for marathon campaigns at sleepovers and perfect for kids playing on the xbox. If they break them in 6 months I got my monies worth and I won't feel the need to throttle them. They do work well with our Panasonic DECT 6.0 cordless phones in a pinch…no they are not uber high end quality sound or microphone but they are not too shabby either..this is a great value priced set for the kids to play xbox live with.

I initially was concerned about the durability of this when I purchased it. It worked very well with my Panasonic phones. I have been using it now for over 2 months and have had no problems. It connects to the any handset from my cordless phone (Panasonic). I like that I don't have to connect it to the base. The only issue that I have is that the cord is pretty long, so when I connect it to the handset and hook the handset on my belt to be able to move around, I frequently get it caught on a door handle, etc and it will unplug from the handset. The only other option would to be to go with a cordless. I have had cordless in the past, but they have actually interfered with my wireless network in the house, so this is the best option for me. Also, the cordless are much pricier. This headset is very clear. No problems or static like other headsets I have owned. I have had not problems with the band on top bending or breaking even though I am not always gentle with it when i am in a rush. If this one breaks...I will simply continue to but another one, and another because the sound quality is great with no interference.

Had other models in the past... inexpensive ones. Saw the reviews, gave it a try. It's just ...ok. The sound quality is too bassy-boomy - not enough mid/treble, so voices sound a bit muffled. The sound level is good. Comfort...it's a big tight on the head - strong spring-back. But it's still comfortable. I like the fold-up design, as it can be folded and put away, or on a hook, but it seems to want to be in a 'folded' position too easily. I'm still getting used to it. It's well made, especially for the inexpensive price.

I have used many headsets in my day. Love the convenience. I've experienced a variety of products, some o.k., some terrible, and some very good. This one's very good.This was my first time trying this product, the Panasonic KX-TCA400 Over The Head Headset.Pleasantly surprised. This is perhaps the best head set I've gotten in many years. It's sturdy enough, sounds great and is comfortable.The "Dad Test": My father used to complain when I'd use a headset. He'd tell me things sounded tinny or fuzzy. With my dad I'd often have to unplug and hold the phone up so he could hear me well. Been years of this with different headsets!I tested this headset out while talking to him. He didn't even notice I was using one! Been many convesations now and it's still the same. He's fine when I'm using it, and can't tell the difference. Success at last !!! I can now truly be hands free for all my calls... even with Dad. So, in our book, that's clean sound.They fold up nicely, unlike many other products, and the earpiece is actually quite comfortably padded.Like I said I think this is the best headset I've hand in many years. I'll be buying this one again when I need to in the future. Highly recommended.

Noy happy at all with this headset. Im on the phone for work all day at home and on the road so I need a good headset. I've used over the head for 15 years. Unfortunately I go through a headset every 8 months or so. I used to get a nice Plantronics headset but I can't seem to find it anymore. Because I haven't been able to find it I continue to try others. Everything about this headset was just okay at best to start with. Thr real issue is no one can hear me unless I yell, literally speak obnoxiously loud ! ! ! ! Very frustrating when I'm driving in traffic and need to take it off and hold the phone by hand. I know you can't please everyone all the time but atleast test the product and out out a decent one at that. I'm not the type that is hard to please or unrealistic. It doesnt fit my head or anyones head i asked to try it. Or i should sayit doesn'tfit good it's like it's of and notright. It sounds okay at best it should be louder but I could have delt with that. But no working unless I yell, nope can't do it. I'll be there soon enough the days when I'm yelling or can't hear what anyone is saying.

I work from home and this headset is compatible with my Panasonic desktop telephone. It is comfortable to wear all day and the sound quality is very good.

Works great for operating handsfree when taking calls. Voice quality is great. Far end voice quality is good too. Light weight and feels comfortable even when using for long hours.

I have a home based telecoms business and use this in combination with the Panasonic KX-TGF320E phone which plugs into a rubber flap on the single handset (the main big handset requires a RJ9 connection). I find this really comfortable to wear (which is good as I wear it for around 6 hours at a time). It also has really clear, static free sound quality.... I'm really impressed!
