Very efficient unit
The media could not be loaded. After much research I ordered this unit because it came pre-charged and I needed 25 feet of refrigerant lines based on where it was being installed at in my house. I ended up running it down the wall so there’s no exposed cabling or hoses or refrigerant lines on the outside of the house. I did cut the DC control cable to length once I saw the pin out on the outside inverter. I bought the 120 version because there was already an outlet out by my outside air handler. It runs quiet and will get the room down to 57° at night if I so choose. One negative thing about the unit is the condensation drain hose they provide I went ahead and replaced that with a little bit more sturdy your version that didn’t have detachable sections. A local shop one is $4500 to do a similar system and I was able to do this for $1362 and that involved buying some parts and tools that I did not already have and may not ever use again. One regret I have as I didn’t use the three wall tube because I nicked the outer insulation cable on the coolant lines. This is a system that you can make look really nice in your house or on your house or you can make it look like crap but either way it will work great. It’s intended usage is cooling and upstairs room that’s about 400 ft.² but cools enough to affect downstairs as well. I would’ve bought the multi zone unit but it would require a 230 circuit and I did not have an extra circuit outside on the house. And lastly I thought the shipping packaging was really efficient.

They DO NOT honor the Warranty.
I have been trying to contact Customer Service / Warranty Department for nearly the last two weeks. I first filled out their Web based support ticket. No Response. Next, I tried their tech support phone number. I got an answer, but was told the person I needed to talk to was not available at the moment and they would call back. Never got a call back. Next I tried an email to their customer support email address. Again, no response. This has to be the worse company I have ever dealt with. I purchased two of their units this summer. They both worked great and I was well pleased. They both still work but the one inside unit developed a noisy rattle and a lot of vibration. The filters and blower wheel are perfectly clean so I suspect an out of balance blower wheel, probably from new, just didn't notice it until the rattle started. My advice to anyone thinking of purchasing from this company is, DON'T. This was the worst $3500 mistake of my life.Update to my review: I made another attempt to get warranty service. I got in contact with the parts department via a phone call. They said my registration number does not match up with Model number of my Mini-Split. I got transferred to another individual, a pleasant young lady, we got the registration and model number issue straightened out. She took down my information and name of the parts I needed and said she would pass it onto the correct department, and that they would call me back. She sounded very sincere about my concerns, and I had high hopes. Well, it has been over a week since then and I've heard nothing. I'm at wits end with these people I guess I will just have to bite the bullet and purchase the needed parts from a local service center.

This is the second one purchased . My first one only worked by the remote and this one is also used by their app. Good quality heats and cools well. Good price. Would definately recommend.

Almost too cold!! But I love it!!!
The Klimaire 18K DIY keeps my 700 square foot cabin very cool. It's so much quieter that the portable A/Cs that I've been using. When the temperature outside is 90 degrees, I set the mini split to 78 degrees inside but all of my thermometers inside read at 71-72. So this unit is really efficient. I've tried the heat a couple of nights when the temperature outside was in the 40's. It only took about 15 minutes to heat my place from 64 to 74 degrees .As for the DIY aspect, I had no experience. I probably watched at least 40-50 videos on youtube before buying and installing this unit. Most of the videos were extremely helpful. Some say it took them 2 hours to install. Some said it took 4-6 hours to install with a buddy. It took me a lot longer since I ended up have to replace my electrical sub panel. My old panel didn't have room for a double pole breaker. I could find an electrician to install a new panel. I called several local electricians and a few further out. Most of my calls went un-returned and the ones who called me back said they were booked 2-3 months out. So after watching more Youtube videos I ended up installing the new sub panel myself. When it came time to install the A/C unit, I was on my own again. The manual was very thin on details. Fortunately, I had watched all of those videos. By myself it probably took 5-6 hours to complete. It felt a lot longer mainly because of getting the lines from the unit through the hole in the wall to the main unit. It would have been easier with someone to help on that part of the install. When it was finally time to power on the unit, I was really nervous because of doing all of this myself with no experience. Well I flipped the breaker and used the remote to power the unit up... Nothing happened. Complete silence. I was sad, frustrated, mad and a whole bunch of other emotions. When I calmed down and took a minute to think, I remembered I forgot to flip the the fuse bar on the disconnect box that I installed. Sure enough, I totally forgot. So I flipped the bar and ran inside to power on the unit. I hit the power button and the unit turned right on. I went outside and checked the outside unit, but the fan wasn't turning. So I started to freak out again. But after a few minutes the outside unit fan started spinning. I checked the manual and online. Apparently it take a few minutes for the outside unit and inside unit to pass info between them. At the end of this very frustrating yet informative DIY I am a very happy I bought this unit. I can watch tv without turning the volume all the way up. I'm comfortable/cool all day and I fall asleep faster now without the loud and very annoying portable unit I had been using.
