LiftMaster 8360 Premium Series DC Battery Backup Chain Drive W/O Rail Assembly

This opener is soooo quiet! So smooth. Been installed for almost 2 months and no issues. This is the best opener u can buy!! It comes as advertised

Exact fit to the T-rail track of my old Craftsman 139.53920D opener. The mounting holes to the track were identical. The body width was the same. The light bulb covers are removable and once removed the opener length is very similar except my old unit had only one bulb on the track side. So, with two bulbs the extra bulb socket adds a small amount of length. The slow landing feature at each end of travel is nice. Opening/closing speed is the same as my old unit.The mounting holes for the opener are not exactly the same position in the track length direction, but that was easily adjusted with my mounting brackets.The remote is not compatible with my car Homelink (2007 Honda Accord), but the provided remote works fine and has 3 buttons on it to configure for 3 different garage doors.The battery-back up feature works well. For the battery I used "Liftmaster 8550 485LM Evercharge Back-Up System 12V 5Ah UPS Battery - Replacement Beiter DC Power".I just ordered a 2nd unit to upgrade my other garage door.I don't plan to use the the WiFi capability of this 8360W unit.

The Liftmaster 8360 works great, quiet and fast. Battery back up works great too.However, their IT departmant and technical solution needs some assistance.The Liftmaster 8360 has "myQ" capability where you can add a Smartphone app.1. I added this app to my iPhone but the app wont stay logged in. The app will allow you to open and close the garage door, but if you have to re-type the log in address and passwork every 4 minutes, who will use it?2. if your car has Homelink, you can not use this to open and close the garage door without calling Homelink and request a repeater. This is not stated in the product info.So if you need a garage door opener and uses the opener supplied with system you have a good product. But if you are interested in using the myQ system or Homelink in your car, I rate the system a 1 or poor.
