Oster 2 Slice, Bread, Bagel Toaster, Metallic Grey

I bought this toaster because of the reviews on this site. I have to say I am underwhelmed. While it undertakes it’s main function (toasting) moderately well, my life was not changed and I did not experience the thrill that I had been led to expect. I’m starting to believe that I will have to look beyond toasted bread for fulfillment.One year later:This is a pretty ordinary toaster. Despite the breathless claims of others below (who ARE there people?) in the long term, it is likely not the best toaster out there. It’s biggest drawback (if you are looking for perfection) is that the control knob does not have “stops” as you change the settings, so it really is imprecise. Leads to frustration trying to repeat that perfect toasting experience. I’ll be a wiser buyer when this one joins the great electrical dump in the sky.

I like it! It's hefty and uses good quality materials (which is expected from Oster). They styling looks nice and it does toast things.My only complaint is that the bagel function makes no sense to me. In every other toaster I've ever owned there is a diagram on top of the toaster which tells you which way to face the bagels so that only the inside gets toasted. On this... no diagram.Now I know what you're thinking, "AHA! Just press the bagel button and see which side turns on! Then you'll know! Gosh, I'm so much smarter than you!"Yes yes internet denizen, I thought of that too. Turns out both sides turn on when you press the bagel button. In fact, as far as I can tell there is absolutely no difference when using this feature. As I threw out the manual, now I can't even check. And really, if I have to read a manual to figure out a toaster then the toaster is too complicated.

I read so many reviews of so many different toasters on Amazon, I can't believe I had to spend so much time to pick a toaster, because even the highly rated ones have lots of negative reviews.I eventually settled on this one, because some but not too many negative reviews. It turned out to be pretty good, bread are toasted crispy (better than my old ones), and evenly. Maybe I am just not that picky about toaster.

We used this toaster for probably 6 times. The first 5 times were great! But this morning when I toasted a piece of bread, only one side was toasted. Both slots were the same - only one element in each sloth was working. We have requested a refund, which was granted. Don't bother buying this you'll be disappointed.This is actually the second Oster toaster that we ordered. The bagel setting doesn't work on this one! Don't buy this toaster - it will only lead to disappointment. Amazon put me in touch with company - the agent was there one second and gone the next. All I had was a voice recording asking me to rate my call. Complete dissatisfaction.

So it's all around great toaster with only two small little details that the company should work on...1... power cord would be better if it came from the back side instead of right front side..2... Theres over 8 levels of toast and I can tell you anything after level 3 your toast gets pretty dark..But the grey model does look really nice and doesn't look cheap until you touch it and find out the sides are plastic 🤔 🙄 😒
