The bug shield 3mm tape wasn't sticky enough to install. There are screw holes if you feel the need to drill into your truck.However, I used plastic car emblem glue on the 3mm strip and held it in place. Same with the sides by the lightsAlso, there is a notch in the middle of shield. Use that to line it up for a perfect install on the grilleFinally, when the hood is closed, the sides are flush but snug against the headlight. So its not going anywhere. Overall great product and sticks up a good amount for protection.

This item looks great very well made thick plastic construction the Only this was i had to modify the piece. The front grill of my 2012 f150 xl has bumps the caused this piece to not go flush as described. Not a big deal but it took a little longer to install and I had to drill holes for the pieces that went under the hood. Otherwise this is a great item and looks great too.

So far so good been installed for 2 months now been through car wash & I don't know how many miles I drove since install ( quite enough highways & expressways ) & knock on wood no issues

Looks good, super easy install (once I figured out I didn't have the one end hooked on the hood). Company is also very good. The truck already had AVS window vents on when I purchased it, and they didn't hesitate to help fix the issue with the rear passenger window catching the vent and not closing.

Did no install returned did not like the way it looked when mocking up before install

Very nice product, offered at a good price.Disappointed in the the packaging, box was torn open and bag of screws were missing and the hood buttons were missing also. Looks like it could have been a returned product that no one checked before shipping back out.

I have owned several "Bug Deflectors" for several vehicle types.. Most have been the "Ventshade" brand..ONLY "minus".... Is it really A BUG DEFLECTOR? ... as it does not extend above the front hood lineof my 2010 F-150 XLT.. It looks nice.. but is it functional? or just "artwork" for my truck.. unless a bug "direct hit"on the defletor.... to protect the windshield.....we will see... I do some occasional "early morning" desert driving on the weekends.. lots of bugsIf you are a fan of this item... as am I...then, get it anyway.... as it looks very cool.... the dark "smoke" color is a "stunner"and the design does a nice job with the contour of the the hood line and sides.... adds a little "flare" ..BUT be "VERY" careful with final placement of the deflector....once the adheasive is in place.... it is "on to stay"...as it states in the installation instructions... believe me.... I knowDRY RUNS.. with red cover tape in place... ARE A MUSTYou also need to drill two holes.... for addiotnal monuting screws.. "no biggie"Just don't expect it to "deflect" many bugs..

Extra work to get it installed, just not a perfect fit, works fine when it gets adjusted to fit though

The good deflector looks great and was easy to install, but I live in northern Canada where it gets very cold and the good deflector now has two huge cracks.I really wish the product could survive hard climates.
