Great NES clone console
I enjoyed this console it plays very well it light weight. And I can't say enough about the controller. This controller solves an issue I have with the original NES controller it feel better but the cord is very short. I Love the color of the consol. It built of thin plastic but for the price it about the same as other console. It your playing on a modern lcd or plasma TV don't forget to grab an upscaler over all if you're looking for a clone console it amazing

This Is Worth The Money, Trust Me!
I did a review of this over on YouTube via my DirtCat gaming channel and I must say that this system is perfect for playing NES games on it! Emulates the sound and gameplay perfectly! I 'cheated' on getting stereo sound out of my clone system by placing a composite splitter into the sound outlet so that way sound can be heard coming out of both speakers on your television or headset so if you want to go that route like I did go for it as you'll need a Splitter Adapter 2 Female to 1 Male (very cheap here Amazon) for it to work. Can even do that with your original NES if you still have it or got one!Sad to say this is my second purchase as I accidentally fried my first system by accident for it was my own fault for doing so. Up before that it played everything like a champ! The only thing I wish that Hyperkin would do is give an HDMI option on this like their 5 in 1 system that is compatible with all external graphic cards for pixel perfect clarity.

No lag(at least on my old tv)
I was worried about controller lag but I haven't experienced any so far ( I am playing it on a 20 yr old tv(720p) I didn't see any reviews that talked about it.

Better than average NES clone console
As someone who is kind of obsessed with the NES, this will be a pretty in-depth review. I got this to replace an older version of the Retron1 that I got around 10 years ago. The previous unit worked well and I like to use it to test NES carts mostly (I buy and sell them) or just playing games on a CRT. I got this one because I like the color and the controller design and wanted to test this version out. What I found out is that its a different system on a chip than before, so the compatibility with some of the games is updated. Some of the sounds the system uses are not an exact match for the original NES, for example the coins and block hit sounds on Super Mario Bros 3 will sound just a bit different to those who are very familiar with the original. Castlevania III works with this console, which is a game that usually will not work on clone consoles. You can also play most Famicom games, with a pin converter, but certain games with custom chips such as Gradius II will not work correctly on this system. Here is a breakdown of pros and cons:PRO-- works well, most NES games play fine- flash cart works (tested with Everdrive N8)- multi carts will work- carts insert and remove without too much force, does not get stuck- appealing design, controller- uses USB power cord, no more power brick- works best on CRT TV- affordable price tagCON-- included controller cable length is too short, make sure to have another controller or extension ready- audio output has multiple odd issues, sounds are not 100% accurate, buzzing sound heard during many games, tried different cables etc.- Not 100% compatible with NES / Famicom library (probably around 95% compatible)- some games such as Castlevania III will have minor graphical glitches not present on an original consoleOVERALL: I would say this is worth the price and its a fun updated look to the older versions of the Retron1 AV NES clone consoles. Great for casual retro gamers, but don't expect a high level of reference accuracy to an original NES. Enthusiasts should probably look for something nicer if they want 100% accuracy and compatibility.

Gets the job done let’s you play NES games
For the price it’s great. You will need a hdmi converter which I already had for my SNES but other than that it’s great if you just want to play your favorite NES games. The pins do have the grip of jaws but it good quality very lite and super cool looking in the turquoise color. I was going to get the classic controller to play with but decided not to. The controller it came with is much more comfortable.

Busted A/V signal
I wasn't expecting amazing things from a Famiclone under $30, but the video signal on this one is exceptionally bad. Some monitors I hooked it up to show games in black and white only, while other monitors show cycling rainbow colors. Likely a problem with the oscillator or A/V circuitry that's resulting in a bad chroma signal. Bummer—back she goes.

A subpar clone with an excellent aesthetic and controller.
The media could not be loaded. The good: The aesthetic is totally tubular! I love the look of it, stands out and is really funky compared to most consoles, whether from the big 3 or other clones. The included controller is also very good. The bumps on the back and the tapered edges increase the comfort of a now outdated design. Easy to set up, and barely uses any power, I've run it from a battery bank, USB port on a power strip, and even an idle Nintendo Wii USB port. It requires just enough power beyond a potato. The bad: The console hardware. These cheap AV systems often use a very basic NOAC that is not completely capable of playing the NES library. While games may run, as the video shows, they may not run well. Batman's audio is horribly butchered with half of the track missing completely. Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse is both glitchy and miserable to listen to. The coins in Mario Bros may require earmuffs, for they are incredibly sharp sounding. Also, no included USB power brick, only cable. Not a big deal for most, but something to be aware of.Overall: I got this for a good deal at around $17. I would only recommend grabbing this if you absolutely wanted to play on some form of hardware on an old CRT tv OR just wanted the funky-looking controller. Could even see the case being repurposed for a Retropie build if you're handy, but alas the main draw of this bundle, the system, is its weakest component.
