love these things
love these things. easy and cheap way to get a nice "paver" look. I would highly recommend laying down some sand first to level out the ground below or else they don't sit right and corners will raise. Also, the are made of a pretty strong plastic but they CAN NOT handle the hit of a weed eater/trimmer. be aware.

Easy to install. Lightweight.
These lightweight outdoor tiles are easy to install. Just place them on the dirt and step down. The tiles have spikes underneath to hold them in place. These are not the concrete type blocks. I would not recommend them for high traffic areas. These are hollow with cross-worked plastic underneath for strength. To use for heavier applications, apply a thick layer of sand beneath each tile.

Wanted to love this item
I felt this item was going to be a great solution for creating a clean edge between our beds and the lawn, but am sorely disappointed. The teeth on the edging pieces I received are not as shown in the photo. They are so small and flimsy that several were already broken off in the manufacturer packing. The teeth are not large enough to grab the soil and keep the edge piece in place. Also, when I received the pieces I laid them out on the grass to judge placement, and after a day outside some of the pieces are warped. Now that they are in place in the ground they will not stay flat. These edging pieces are not inexpensive and I feel ordering them was a costly mistake on my part. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this edging to anyone.

Great product, great price, but perhaps not the best option for use on grassy areas
For whatever reason, it is really, really hard to find stepping stones in my area. I've looked at Wal-Mart, Home Depot and Lowes and couldn't find round stepping stones or large pavers that could be used to create a path through a grass lawn. The only things I could find were "pour your own" cement stepping stone mixes and, since I'm a renter, that didn't seem worth my money or time. These pavers are great in that they are light enough that they can be shipped economically and they look very nice. However, they are a very light, thin plastic, and if you are trying to use them over existing grass that isn't perfectly flat you may have a problem.I used mine to make a walkway from my driveway over to the gated area in front of my townhouse. They look very nice, and most people assume they are stone. That's actually part of the problem, because people expect them to be very solid and heavy, like stone, and instead they are rigid and movable and thus less stable. If you step on the edge of one that isn't fully sunken into the ground, the other edge will lift a bit. Water and dirt do also pool on them somewhat. The longer they've been in place, however, the more stable they are becoming - likely because the grass below them is dying and they are thus sinking down, so the teeth are better able to "bite" the ground and support the stones. For what it's worth, they are in and exposed, fairly windy area and I've had no problem with them blowing away.I think these would be fantastic used in a sand, tiny gravel, or mulched area. Their usefulness on grass depends on how level your grass is and how patient you are for them to really sink in. After about a month, about four of mine are truly solid, and the rest are on their way but are still not quite stable. Either way, I think they look great, they are better than just walking in wet grass, and I appreciate that when I'm ready to move I can pick them up, hose them off and take them with me. I will try to take some pictures and attach them to this review so you can get a better idea of how they look.

Easy to install
The composite steppiong stones look okay but one broke during installation. They feel different (not as strong) as slate or other stone stepping stones. Easy to install.

just ok....
I purchased these to make a pathway between my back door to the deck. When I first layed down they looked really good. However as they have been walked they have become dirty and faded. They look great when they are wet. Also they do not stay level and move as you walk. My do actually pinched his paw one day as he stepped between two of the pavers. I worked hard to get the ground level and used wood to line the walkway.Another issue is that I needed half a paver when I got the the deck. There is no way to cut the paver and it does not come in half size.I am leaving them down hoping to find a product that will allow the wet look to stay around.I purchased two packs of 24, but when I was finished, I think I would have been happier investing the time in real brick. I really would not recommend these mostly because they look worn and dirty after only a few weeks.

Sturdy, well-made
These are well-made and easy to install, just what I was looking for. I have a dog that digs in certain areas in my backyard and now that these are installed there she cannot dig in that area anymore, I am super happy with this product!

Value
These "stones" are great value for the money, if you have a large area to cover. They need loose dirt or sand underneath to dig into so as to stay put. But they are lightweigt and easy to handle, and they don't get slippery when wet.
