Very interesting
Well written and has introduced me to the topic of social networks and the implications these have on change and innovation. I would particularly recommend to anyone leading change in their organisation.

Wonderful introduction to the theory of complex contagions
For 15 years, a small team based at Purdue University worked to develop a new strategy practice for open, loosely joined networks. Called Strategic Doing, this open-source practice is now spreading globally. Many of the insights presented in this book explain why.Teaching the simple rules of complex collaboration involves introducing people to new ways of thinking, new ways of behaving, and new ways of doing work together. In other words, the transformation we are promoting is a complex contagion. Centola’s explanation of how complex contagions spread across networks explains how we are seeing Strategic Doing now grow globally. We are using these insights to advance the work of the Lasso Administration in Ecuador now. Under the Ministry of Production and Trade we are teaching the simple rules of complex collaboration across the country. For me, Centola’s book is right on point. Highly recommended.
