A very Good story book
I would say that everyone must read book. It narrates the story of a girl Jamla who walks back to her hometown. A good story which can be narrated to small children.A book which teaches the children values and morale.

A beautiful poignant story sensitively told.
The story of Jamlo, a child, like many across the country had to make the long trek back home as the pandemic-induced lockdown hit, touches the heart like no other. It also documents an important era in the history of humanity - the pandemic, lockdown and its consequences for children. It is a must have on every child's bookshelf.

A must read and a must have!
It is quite narrative for younger children. Children above the age of 8 would be able to understand this better. However, it is a conversation that is much needed. The author has done a brilliant job at depicting the lives of children belonging to different walks of life through one story.

Must read
Great illustrations, true story, essential read as even after a year ,the country is in a similar state heading into a complete lockdown with statistics worse than last year. Jamlo's story makes for compulsory reading for kids and grown up s to acknowledge the ordeals fa ed by daily wage labourers, for when we realise their difficulties, the first step to helping them in ways possible dawns automatically.

Heart wrenching true story. However only 3 stars as it contains some anti BJP propoganda
Heart wrenching true story. However only 3 stars as it contains anti BJP propoganda like 'people were given only few hours to prepare for the lockdown'.This book could have served as a mirror for Indians if written in a neutral manner. The subject is worthy of a well researched thesis for PhD
