Karrimor Compass

Ordered two of these and both came with the same fault. The needle wouldn't move freely, dragged along the bottom of the compass and rarely pointed north. I was about to take it to Snowdonia hill walking, will be buying Silva instead. Reading the reviews it looks like the majority of these have been ok, with a small percentage having the same problem. I suppose it's worth ordering in case you get a good one and sending it back if not. The problem would be if you were up a mountain when the compass failed

Great product, accurate and easy to read! Would definitely recommend buying this product for anyone starting out in hiking/camping. It would be best to watch some YouTube videos on how to read a compass as well.

VERY HARD to read bearing degree increments on this compass, because the white degree increment lines go over a WHITE background section on the bezel base....Either the increment lines or the background section need to be a different colour. I am having to but another/different compass, that is possible to read. Wasted Money!

Good compass took them out and they always pointed north. But the strings fell to bits on their first outing!

Bought for daughters camping trip. Excellent product for the price. We have used it on several occasions now, good product. The necklace bit is a bit flimsy, so I replaced with a thicker chain.

Delivered today- opened when i got home. I turned the bezal about 20 degrees and a metal wire popped out and has since broked completely. Very dissapointed on the quality!!

Bought as a replacement for my original Karrimor which was broken.These are great bits of kit and if this one lasts as long as the old one I will be very happy :)

Cheap and cheerful compass that works! Clear markings and scales make it easy to read and use.
