Great rail mounted flashlight!
Really like this compact flashlight for my AR-15 carbine. It is nice and compact, about the size of a roll of Lifesaver candies. I didn't want a big oversize case or a blowtorch like light beam. The 100 lumens is enough light to illuminate and identify your target in the average room for a home defense situation without running the risk of overpowering light to blind yourself. As much as us guys believe the bigger the better, there is such a thing as too much light. It is also a big battery drain. Nice metal body that seems sturdily built. The threads for the battery enclosure tailcap are very fine so the user has to be extra cautious to not strip the threads. I also like the low profile picatinny bracket mount. It was easy to mount and adjust without completely removing the screw. Nice matte black finish that matches my carbine just perfect.I first mounted the light on the right side of my carbine but I did not like the shadows it casted from my barrel and BIUS (back-up iron sights) into my primary field of view. I moved it over to the left side where it does cast an edge of light on the BIUS but it is not noticeable in the viewable beam of light in front of me. In that position it is also located just above my Tacticon laser which allows a quick flip of the thumb back and forth from my laser to the light. This is very convenient with my grip style which rests my thumb across the top of the left rail. My only concern with the light is the durability and lifecycle of the tailcap power switch. It doesn't seem too cheap but this is where corners can be cut to reduce the cost of the light. The device does come with a remote pressure switch that I have elected not to use. I don't have any experience with these switches so I am unable to provide any feedback. I like my selection and think it is a great value for the apparent quality of the light. I have not shot with it yet so we will have to see how it holds up to the mechanical forces of firing. I will keep my review updated to reflect my experience.

so far so good, I dont understand the hate?
Its amazon where half the stuff is a lemon, just gotta keep sending it back until you get a good one, whole point of prime. I got lucky 1st try as I do most of the time and other times I have to send back 2 or 3 before getting a good one. It would seem often in the reviews people dont know or forget this fact and give an item a bad review because they got a dud. Its china quality and quality control so everything is gonna get a bad review if you get a lemon 1st time but for the price if you get a good one its hard to beat. I spent like $200 on light and sent them all back and settled on this one because it was actually better and cheaper than the other ones I tried. Sometimes you can get good stuff cheap but its a risk that you might be pulling a return once or twice before you get that good item. So in reality is the risk of having to do returns worth the money you save on a budget item? Thats kinda the bottom line on any budget item on amazon, not just this light.

Pretty nice
I'm giving this 4 stars because the light itself is great, the brightness is great, everything is great except the remote button. The button works but I didn't receive anything to mount that anywhere so it just hangs there. I'm probably gonna zip tie it to the front grip. It didn't come with any ties, double sided tape or Velcro, nothing. It's just a button that hangs out like my friends do. So I'm going to solve this problem with a zip tie and hope that works how I plan. Other than that, it also has a regular button like most flashlights have on the back with an on/off button but the remote button is more if a pressure switch which I like better because it doesn't require you to move that much and you can shut it off when needed just by lifting your thumb or finger from it. The light is a little smaller than I imagined but it's a beast for it's size. It's about 2" long maybe 3" tops and can mount itself to any picatinny rail. It sits offset so you don't have to worry about it blocking the scope or anything which is nice. I have a red dot sight on my bushmaster AR15 .223/5.56 and the light I mounted in front of it, can't even see the flashlight itself through the sight. As far as the beam and what you're looking at through the sight, it's awesome. I definitely recommend this for the cost and yes I tested the light, it's bright. My eye is still a little blinded from it after like 20 minutes lol I'd feel bad for someone if I blinded them with it... not really cause if that had to happen then they deserve atleast to be blinded.

Great little light for the money
First things first everybody. This is a $18 light, so for all the people giving it rough reviews what do you expect (a decent "legit" light for a rifle is going to be at least $150).Okay, now thats out of the way. This is a fantastic little light. The whole reason I bought this light was because of how small / compact it was. In fact, when it came in it was smaller that I even thought which is a good thing. I am actually super blown away about how "durable" it feels and additionally how durable the mounting bracket feels. For the money this is a good light. I did not attach the included (optional) thumb pad but the way its set up on my rifle its just as easy to reach the switch with out it.I would buy this light again (in fact I will buy another) and I do recommend it. Is it super duper bright? No, I mean look how small it is haha. But for the money, size and the standard "better than nothing" factor I absolutely like this light.Package came with (Light, Mounting Bracket, Allen Wrench, American Flag Decal, optional switch and a battery)
