I was not expecting this book to be as big as it was and it is worth every penny I spent.A must own for kamen rider fans.If you know someone who likes Power Rangers, this is a good book to introduce to them. They may not appreciate it if they are little kids right now but they will when they get older.

For those who don't know, Kamen Rider is a cultural sensation in Japan, somewhat comparable to something like Batman in the US. He's a cyborg that fights the villainous shocker group, who are set on world domination. The series started in 1971 and was created by Shotaro Ishinomori, who is also known for Super Sentai and Cyborg 009. This manga is an adaptation of that series, written by Ishinomori himself.Now, in 2022, the manga is available in the US for the first time, in a lovely hardcover edition from Seven Seas Entertainment.The first thing you'll notice is that this book is massive. It contains the entire series in one volume, so you get a lot of content for the money. The book itself is high quality, with clean artwork, great translations, high-quality paper, and supplemental bonus materials in the back. The first few pages are in color, with the rest being in black and white.I'll be updating this review about the story once I finish reading it. As I said, this thing is massive.So far, this comes highly recommended to anybody who may be interested in it.

Kamen Rider is a Japanese legend, but Ishinomori's raw idea of Kamen Rider is a triumph. Note, the kamen in the manga and that of the show are a bit different, namely in transformation. But this book is thicker than the bible.

I quite enjoyed this classic collection. If you have a harder time with 1970's art, this collection is not for you. However, the story is very much in that classic episodic style that goes hand in hand with Kamen Rider.

For a Rider fan like me it great to add this to my collection.

Mangá muito sem graça, a arte é esplêndida mas é só isso. Não dá para aproveitar nada nele exceto perceber um pouco de sua importância na indústria e a habilidade artística do autor. A qualidade da edição é excepcional (tradução, detalhes, físico: miolo costurado e capa dura, papel de boa qualidade), entrega da Amazon como sempre ótima, mas a história do mangá é tão besta que pode até ser enrolado ler ele inteiro. Comprei na pré-venda numa promoção e num valor bom, mas agora que lançou está caríssimo (com certeza por ser compra internacional também), de forma alguma compensa. É isso, crianças talvez se divirtam com o mangá (se souberem inglês...) e fãs da obra obviamente que adorarão colecionar ela numa qualidade tão boa quando a produzida por essa editora. Agora, se você quer comprar para ver como é o "clássico", ou realmente quer aproveitar uma história, eu não recomendo. Você vai pagar caro num produto sem graça que no fim só vai ficar mofando na estante depois da primeira - e única - leitura.

Ive been a fan of Kamen Rider since watching Wizard around 2013 or 14 and im so glad we're finally getting official releases of media for western fans and it was a treat seeing the original Kamen Rider Hongo Takeshi, his friends and his iconic foes in Ishinomori's signature art styleOne thing that surprised me was how Batman like Hongo is in the manga right down to high tech secret base and one thing that shouldn't have surprised me is the tone. It's less like that of show and more like the anime versions of Ishinomori's other works Cyborg 009 and Android Kikiaider from the early 2000s which i should have seen coming franklyYou could say this is Kamen Rider in its purest form as the creator intended I know the manga ran past the stories collected here and i hope we see a second volume released someday

Classic collection is right, the artwork looks super metal specially for the 70s, very glad to own this, arrived in great condition
