Great recipe book
Being vegan is a lifestyle choice. People usually live this lifestyle because of moral or religious reasons, or they just don't like meat and dairy. I have no trouble with any of this, the reason I'm considering vegan diet is mainly because of the associated health benefits. I've recently watched a video of an 80 year old bodybuilder who's vegan and who looks 40 years younger and is fully mobile - it amazed me. What works is what is true, and you can't know what works unless you're open minded enough ti try it.This is an excellent book, very well written. It tells you the basic stuff about veganism and then dives straight into the recipes - all containing tables with macros and detailed instructions. I wish if there were pictures with finished meals, but in any case this is a great book to have if you're vegan or you're considering this lifestyle.

Weight watchers will love this book
It's the politically correct things to do to go vegan. This book boldly states that if everybody goes vegan, the world's carbon dioxide production will be cut by an amazing 9%! I might dispute that claim. However, that's no argument that plant-based foods are less complex and thus easier for our bodies to digest. The idea of vegan diet is to reduce the pressure on our digestive system by choosing proteins and nutrients that are easy to absorb. The 101 good-looking recipes here all come with detailed nutritional facts and concise cooking instructions. As a bonus, the recipes are translated into many other languages. Vegan dieters & weight watchers will love this book!

Good - but not for beginner vegan cooks, or low-fat/whole foods diets
While this e-book has many good-sounding recipes and I appreciate the current generous offer as a free download, I would recommend it only for those experienced in vegan cooking. Several of the recipes have vague instructions, missing steps, or typos that experienced cooks should be able to figure out, but not a novice. Also if you're new to vegan foods, you'll probably have to Google ingredients or terms that aren't explained (for example, "flax egg"), and a few ingredients are pretty exotic/hard to find, at least where I live. Quite a bit of processed foods, oils and nuts are called for, which are discouraged on some whole-foods low-fat vegan plans. All that said, most of these recipes are quite creative and original, many with ethnic influences, and as an experienced vegan cook I will definitely try several of the unprocessed, lower-fat ones. The author's sense of humor and witty comments add a nice touch throughout.

Not Very Creative
Not very creative and uses a lot of fake meat and soy milk, so I am not sure how it can support rapid weight loss especially when using Soy Milk which has a lot of sugar due to the bitterness.

Too much sugar
1. Soy, tempeh... Is not an option for women who survive breast cancer because some of the chemicals look kinda like estrogen. So I try to avoid.2. All the gluten! I found that flour or gluten caused me huge problems with pmt. I stopped eating gluten and all my hormone issues went away.3. All these carbs especially sugar is nothing but a nightmare for your body. It feeds cancers, it eventually causes Alzheimer's, obesity, diabetes, fatty liver...4. What the h... Is vegan margarine?Yeh I guess this diet might cause you to lose weight... After it's killed you.

Worth the space on the kindle.
I really love this book. All the recipes are easy, don't contain many ingredients, and nothing I can't get in the UK, and have the added bonus of a nutritional analysis and calorie count for each individual portion. Most recipes are for 2-4, but I can divide by 4, and that's what freezers are made for, anyway. It also has the added bonus of being in American measures, rather than the prissy foreign ones we use in the UK. I would actually like a paper copy of the book, but I can't afford to shell out £20 for the hardback (and wouldn't want to, anyway), so unless some enterprising publisher comes up with a print to order paperback version, at a reasonable price, I shall have to resort to an old fashioned notebook and pencil as I do each recipe. Well worth reading, and worth my time to make some personal notes.

Such an awesome book, wish I had read this earlier!
Such an awesome book. Wish I had read this before going back to eating meat for dieting reasons. Even up until today, I still regret that decision.

I love this recipe book
I love this recipe book! It contains 100 original and easy to create recipes inside. We made the “Blessed Banana Bread and Walnuts” yesterday and it is absolutely delicious. It is clearly laid out with easy step by step instructions to follow. The Nutritional facts table of information for each recipe is really helpful too.Being Spanish, I was also very impressed to find out that the book offered me the chance to read it in my own native language (Spanish being one of 18 other languages available!). If you only buy one recipe book this year, make this the one! Highly recommended.

Some good recipes for vegans and non-vegans alike
I'll start off by saying I'm not a vegan. I just got this book because the healthy/weight loss part appealed to me! Browsing through it, I have to say that I'm pleased with the variety of recipes listed and they aren't that hard to make. What I do is use most of the recipes as a base and adjust knowing my own flavour palate. I don't like certain peppers so I don't think of including them. Yeah, this messes with the nutrition facts listed, but some of them seem wonky anyway so I don't put much faith in their accuracy anyway. As for the people claiming they can't make some recipes because of the ingredients, let me tell you that Google is your friend! Many of the ingredients are just known under a different name in the UK (which most people should know if they use internet recipes because it's very much the same way). Saying that you can't get an ingredient here? Someone's never been to an Asian market (or even down that aisle at your Tesco) before... As for some of the others, they're available here on Amazon! Sounds like an excuse to me!

Good Meat Alternatives.
I don't thing I'll ever be a full convert to Veganism but there are a lot of nice recipes that are free from meat and animal products in this book. Well worth a try.
