Instead of spending several hundred pounds for a new shower I spent less than a tenner and it took less than half an hour to do the repair. This appears to be a fairly universal fit so despite the fact that the part for our shower is no longer available, this did the job. Very happy. (Should only be replaced by a qualified electrician though)

Excellent cheap fix for T-90 SI Showers.

Triton T80 shower stopped working mid shower. Ordered this part, delivered next day. Then simple straight swap out. Shower working again. Family delighted!

Fast delivery and the Part is as described and does what it should.'DIY' versus professional tradesperson provides a cost saving of around £175, but only if you have 'free' time, patience and the necessary tools*This was a first time experience for me, a reasonably experienced, confident and capable DIYer .Doing the job took me around 90 minutes at a very slow and steady pace, although I'd allowed for several hours, just in case!In advance of that I'd spent around 2 hours researching (reading the shower installation manual and watching Youtube videos.) including identifying, based on common symptoms, that the solenoid coil was likely to be part required.For the Mira Azora, to gain access to the solenoid coil, the complete main inlet valve and heater assembly needs to be lifted (removal of 3 Torx screws , plus disconnection of the water inlet, 2 more screws on 'saddle clamp') but it was apparent that doing the fiddly bits (removal of existing coil) would be much easier on the table top.So I detached the Electrical supply wires (L, N & E) from the connector block and undid the water inlet compression joint, to enable removal of the complete unit, cover already off, from the wall.Once on a table, getting the solenoid coil was still a bit fiddly - needed a poke and wiggle.TIP: Before moving the complete assembly onto a table, shake it over a sink/bath, water outlet 'down' to get as much remaining water out from the heat exchanger tank.Re-assembly and re-installation was easier and quicker.If in doubt, Do NOT attempt this and employ a Plumber / Electrician.NOTE: ISOLATE the electricity at BOTH the consumer unit and local switch, plus turn the water feed OFF at appropriate valve(s)*Tools required, for Mira Azora Shower:Phillips Head (No 2) screwdriverTorx Head (No 15) screwdriverAdjustable SpannersOptional Tools:Multimeter - I only used one only after removal of the original solenoid coil, to confirm, by measurement of resistance (should be at least 3.4K Ohms) that it was no good.

Our Triton shower just died and we thought it was kaput. However, with the help of Google and YouTube we discovered that this little component might need replacing. We purchased for the price of 2 beers and a packet of crisps. The component was so easy to remove and be replaced with the new one. Thanks a million for supplying us with this gizmo!
