will this work on copper? not copper paint but copper.

Yes it works on real copper. Gives it a greenish patina look. We use it on our copper top bird houses and feeders we make.

Will this work on the tiles on end table tops? The older tops with the black tile sitting down in.

Yes it will work ,..just make sure to use the recommended primer and base coat paint first.

I noticed on the label that in addition to Copper the Green Patina can be used with several Gold colors and Bronze. What effect is expected with gold?

I tried them all. There was no patina result with gold, only with the bronze/copper paint.

Does the project surface matter as long as I use the reactive paint first? I want to use on foam faux ceiling tiles.

Absolutely it matters. You need to apply a primer that is recommended to seal completely the foam substrate.
