Plus Sized Rain pants that fit!
Thank you Columbia! I have tried MANY rain pants (both men’s and women’s) in efforts to find a pair that would fit my size women’s 2x body. These were perfect! The elastic waist offers ease of movement. The rise is just right and comes up just above my navel. I ordered the “short” length- I am 5’5”and have a 29.5” inseam. Again perfect length. I am solidly a size 2x in women’s pants and these offer me the roominess I need to wear over hiking pants.

Great for rainy days
I wear these when riding my bike in the rain (because my bike does not have fenders)they work well and are lightweight. Also because of the material, windproof, which keeps my legs warm even when its cold out! They are roomy and sometimes I wear them over my work pants!

Keeps you dry and warm!
They do keep you dry and warm, the only thing to keep in mind is the material of anything under them. Because I had thermals on underneath at one point the materials were slick with each other and I had to keep pulling them up. Without thermals or with other leggings they worked great without falling.

Not bulky. YAY!
These will work well for our upcoming Alaska adventure!

good but sweaty
I've worn these a couple of times now on rainy days and they've kept me dry, BUT only on the outside :-). They don't breathe so on warm/humid days, my legs are sweaty under my pants. I think if I wore shorts under them instead, that might work (and then change into pants when I get to my destination). I don't quite understand the velcro at the bottom -- guess it's for going around boots if one is wearing those? I was hoping I could use it to cinch them tight around my ankles, but that's clearly not what they are designed for :-). Although not having a deep pocket was a bit annoying, they were loose enough around the waist I could simply reach into my regular pants pocket and grab things from there.

Strong material, but not bulky
These pants are just what I needed for rainy days when I’m hiking or working outside. Strong and effective, but not bulky.

Finally a rain pant that fits
I'm not crazy about the price. And I don't think the sizing is right. That being said, the quality is very good, seams are excellent, and these are the FIRST rain pants that fit me comfortably. DO KNOW, however, that I bought a 3X, and I'm typically a size 18 or XL (sometimes a 1X). I chose a 3X because I had tried on one of Columbia's rain pants in a 1X before and could barely get them over my "traditionally built" hips. They run SMALL, and sometimes when you're sailing and it's cold, you want to wear leggings underneath, so I would suggest you buy a couple sizes ABOVE what you usually wear. Better too big than too small. At this price, I hope they last me the rest of my life!

I wish I'd bought them years ago
I have been desperate to find a fabric mosquitos can't bite through until it dawned on me: waterproof. But then finding pants that were ACTUALLY 100% waterproof was a whole other issue. THESE ARE. I've bathed the dogs while wearing them, they are completely waterproof and better than that, THEY'RE MOSQUITO PROOF. I get snacked on like a juice box once it's warm in Texas and typically they only EVER bite my legs (even though I never wear shorts and I'm always in a tank top) and that is where I have a weird horrible allergic reaction to them. Since I got these, I don't go outside without them on and now they're just biting me on the back like cowards (but i don't have an allergic reaction to those so whatever i guess) SO THE PANTS ARE DOING THEIR EXTRA JOB. Zero bites on my legs.As for fit, I got x-small, I'm about 5'4 and weigh 100 pounds and they fit perfect. I probably could have gotten the shorter fit and it would have been fine but I don't mind a little extra length at the bottom, they're not dragging on the ground or swallowing my feet or anything like that. They DON'T have pockets, however there is one small pouch on the inside that you could put something small in like a wallet or money (it wouldn't fit a phone its not that big). They do do the swish swish sound like windbreakers so if you're looking for quiet pants, these aren't them, but otherwise, they ARE waterproof and they are mosquito proof, and they're comfortable and light enough to wear in texas heat without feeling like theres a swamp in my pants.

Great fitting pair of wind pants!!
I wasn’t expecting much, as I’ve purchased clothing online in the past with very little success. These however fit like a glove and I am a big girl with a lot of junk in the trunk. I ordered a 2x and have plenty of room to wear them over jeans or yoga pants. They’re not stiff I wore them immediately and was up and down in the snow easily. I wish they tapered a bit more toward the foot but it’s really not a big deal. Great product for a great price.

I am a medium and the pants in this size were too large
I am going to give back and change to the small size

Good for the price
I bought the short medium. Usually im a medium in sweats, and a size 27-28 in silver jeans. (27inch waist, 38 hips, 23inch thighs)The reviews saying these run large are both right and wrong: these do run large fir me, but in the legs. Which never happens. I have big thighs in comparison to my body and i put these on over two thick layers: a chamois liner (using these for biking) AND jeans and these STILL had lots of width in the legs. But i did find that these fit true to size in the waist/hips. (i am a pear shaped body type btw)Also the short fit me almost perfect and im 5'3. About and inch or so long but very doable. As for the wide legs i am going to reign them in at the calves by wrapping a couple of reflector straps around them for visibility.. and so i dont get caught in my bike. The outside material and inside mesh are the exact same as columbia's arcadia jacket. Theyre sort of noisy but hey, when its raining and windy its not noticable. All in all these were a pretty good buy

I bought these for Alaska trip.Kept me dry and warm in rainy cool weather.Out on boat whale watching, walking around Ketchikan in the rain all day.Plan to wear them for rain, also winter wind.Good value. If you don't like "loud" fabric you may find these sound a bit crinkly.measurementsSize MediumWaist 16" unstretched.Inseam 31"Front Rise 11"Back Rise 17"
