Gave my temporary kitchen an updated look
(See before and after pics.) We're going to be doing a complete gut job on our kitchen in a few years (which was remodeled with cheap materials by a house flipper just before we bought it,) but I was just so tired of looking at it after 10 years. Obviously, it didn't make sense to spend thousands of dollars on updates, so I just added this backsplash, new light fixtures and cabinet pulls (all purchased on Amazon.) I'm still planning on adding more tiles all the way up around the windows. I did 3 walls under the cabinets and behind the range with 3 boxes and had leftover tiles.Unfortunately, the flippers hadn't leveled the countertop, so I had to make adjustments once I got started. The manufacturer advice to start in a corner isn't always practical when there are windows breaking up a long run and things aren't level. I ended up ordering more tiles so I can redo the right side of the sink window, which ended up higher than on the left. When I redo it, I think I'll match the height on the left of the window and work towards the corner to the right instead. The tiles are easy to cut with a utility knife and measuring marks in pencil wiped right off. They do stick very well (be sure there is NO grease or grime on the wall) so you need to be very sure of placement. I cut and fit before removing the backing. Once you stick it, unless you have a really solid subsurface, paint and/or drywall paper will come off with it. The flippers had only painted our backsplash drywall with cheap primer, so it came right off with the tile, leaving the tile useless to restick. There is a cracked bulge in the wall under the cabinet to the right of the range and a visible hole under the range hood that these covered nicely! The fact that they are more realistic in size makes them worth the cost, as well as the harder backing that makes them easier to line up.The face surface is slightly tacky/rubbery feeling but not sticky, and it doesn't seem to affect anything. I've been able to clean them. Clean things that could stain off right away though, because I did have a drop of tomato sauce that I didn't notice that was left on overnight leave a light stain. The nice thing about ordering more than I needed means I can easily replace them! You can see the seams if you look closely, even when they are tightly abutting, but most guests wouldn't even notice. Because the tile panels are larger, the seams are further apart than with the cheaper, floppy versions. So far, the tiles behind the range haven't been affected by the heat, which was one of my main concerns. I've had a few spots around the kitchen where the edge of a tile started to pull up, but they seem to stay stuck down after I press on them. I'm not sure if they actually started pulling up or if I just hadn't stuck them all the way when applying them and didn't notice until later. For a short term fix, the ease of installing and the price compared to ceramic tile, these look very convincing and I definitely recommend!Update 1.21.22The tiles are still holding. In some places the edges pulled away slightly, but I was able to just press them back down. To be honest, I'm still not sure if it was because I just didn't press them down properly in the first place. I also updated the photos, because I did take the tiles up to the soffit by the sink and around the other windows. I just love it, especially the contrast after I painted the windows black. The additional tiles helped reflect more light. Also, they've held up great behind my stove. They haven't melted or pulled away, and splatter has cleaned up well. I will note that very hot grease splatter has left barely noticeable dimples in a few spots. So keep that in mind if using behind a stove.

Skeptical at first, great product
I was a little skeptical of these at first but I love this product. It was easy to put up. Make sure you have a construction appraiser perfect square edge and maybe even make yourself a square edge cutting board. Anywhere you're questioning adhesion make sure you were alcohol in the wall maybe use some loctite bonder for a good seal. If you're putting this on a glossy wall I would prop the wall first with a little bit of sanding, terry cloth wipe and then alcohol wipe. It should stick right away on semi-gloss or mat finish.Product feels a little sticky but it actually does come clean if something gets on it.

Tricky to apply, but looks good
I love the look of this, but it does take more effort than you would think. The adhesive is VERY sticky, which is good, but it means you have to nail the placement the first time, or you're out of luck. If you try to peel it back up to reapply, the front will sometimes pull away from the adhesive backing. I also had one bubble I couldn't get out. But it looks great!

Not usable. Total waste
The media could not be loaded. Edited: fell down after one month even after following directions perfectly. We used Gorilla Glue to try twice to restick them. The description says this tile can be used behind stoves, but the instructions enclosed say you need a 16” clearance above a gas stove. So this means I either have to return all the tile I haven’t opened, or use it and then purchase additional materials elsewhere to go behind my stove. I’m pricing those materials now and it’s going to cost several hundred dollars. So far the tile has been okay to start with a dry fit. We did it this way first just to be sure we could work with it around the 7 outlets (!!!) in this backsplash area. We wanted to open one box and get a feel for it before going all in.Cutting for outlets is tough. We need a utility knife plus a cutting mat and it usually takes 6-7 passes with the sharp blade per line. I don’t say this to discourage buyers, just to let you know. If you want to take your tile all the way to the bottom of your upper cabinets, be aware that cutting around those tight areas is very tedious and easy to mess up.The tile has a very rubbery texture that bothers my husband but I don’t really mind. Everyone will assume it’s real tile unless they get super close.

Decent alternative
These tiles were super easy to install and stick great. They look great and it’s a decent alternative if you’re looking for something quick and without tools. After installation, there was an overwhelming smell of plastic and the tiles themselves are very tacky (sticky). Definitely do not “love” them but will see how long they last.

EASY TO CUT & INSTALL
Purchased these for a difficult backsplash in my kitchen. Previous install made it impossible to remove existing tiles. I gave the tiles a 4 star rating, because they weren't as thick as I had hoped, but they look good and so I am pleased with the product.Price was good!

Schade
