Pigeons are not scared, they love to sit on owl's head!
The media could not be loaded. I think this is a beautiful product to add to your space and is also humane; but if the birds trust you, they won't be scared of it. It will deter birds if they are already not used to your space. My building management wanted me to add these to my balcony to deter birds, but it doesn't work on the pigeons who already know me and the space. For some reason, they love to sit on the owls head and shit on the poor owl.

Not life size but good product
Decent light weight quality, I put a few stones inside mine & they stand up & stay in place nicely. My only complaint is the size. YES I know size was in the description but I've never held a real life owl before LOL these are much smaller than any owl that has perched near my chicken coop. These fake owls are more like partridge size than owl size. I have not had a real owl back near my chickens since I put up the fake owl so it must be working.

One owl arrived with broken beak
Actually, the beak was completely missing from one of the owls. I chose not to return them, sometimes its best to just move on. They are not very sturdy little guys. Where I am putting them will be low traffic, no wind. If theres any chance of them blowing over I would consider a different option.

Perfect trio of adorable owl decoys that are great in deterring destructive birds.
Perfect trio of smaller owls. I filled one halfway with gravel and set it up to deter woodpeckers from destroying my back porch. It’s working! I’ll get the other two set up in different places and plan to move them every week or two so the destructive birds won’t get used to them being there. I have a large owl decoy under a pavilion to scare off other birds so they don’t poop on the picnic tables. They work. Not sure why this wants me to mention motion detection. They’re just solid owl decoys with no moving parts or sounds. That’s all I needed.

Best friends with my yard rabbits, snakes, and squirrels
The picture speaks for itself...I have two owls in the front yard and one in the backyard. Rabbits, snakes, and squirrels were wrecking havoc in my garden so I thought it was worth a try.Three rabbits live directly under the bush where the owl sits out front. Please see the picture I attached. The squirrels continue to eat all of my squash and tomatoes and there is a pair of rabbits burrowed 5 feet from the one in the backyard. I have three garter snakes that sunbathe directly under the backyard owl. These owls are worthless for "keeping the pests and rodents away," but they do look nice.Maybe I need to feed my three yard snakes and let them eat the rabbits... I have given up hope on the squirrels... They are like honey badgers and don't give a crap... Sometimes they sit at my door making eye contact while eating my squash... I can almost hear them laughing at me.
