Amazing beam distance! Handheld spotlight
Amazing spotlight! Works great for varmint hunting / long range shooting. Easily illuminates 200-300 yards out with excellent visibility. Only down side is the battery life on turbo is about 30-45 ish minutes. The mode below turbo is 90% as bright and lasts much longer. Great light

Awesome!
So, after trying (and returning) 2 Chinese knockoff flashlights, I decided to splurge on a real one. There's several uses for this flashlight. You want to see a spaceship. You want to pretend to be a jedi or Darth Vader with a light Saber. You want to go to jail by shining this at a person. This is the real deal. The throw is incredible. For this size flashlight, I'm shocked how bright it is. If you are looking for a great flashlight, this is it. I rarely write reviews or recommendations, but for this I did. It's totally worth it. Excellent work Nitecore!

Proprietary battery
Awesomely bright with a very even uniform beam. Itโs a nitecore so of course itโs well made. Iโve had it for about a year now and no problems. Only thing I wish is that they would stop making flashlights that use proprietary batteries. Thatโs the reason I gave it 4 out of 5.

Thrower flashlight
Great flashlight. Battery lasts a decent amount of time. Gets a little hot during use.

Super Far Beam! Not perfect.. but it's close
I love Nitecore flashlights, and this one is probably my favorite. I'm a huge fan of these newer flashlights with USB-C charging! Here's what to expect: The light isn't really that big. It fits in your hand like a small flashlight, but it has that slightly larger reflector. It's small, but wont fit into your pocket for this reason. The beam is very impressive. I know it's rated at 1km, but that's at 0.25 lux.. I would say its actually usable out to about half of the rated distance (500m). This flashlight is NOT good for anything up close, even on low. The bright concentrated "hot-spot" of light just blinds you, or only lights up part of what you are looking at. I also wish it had a little more lumens behind it. If it had 3-4k lumens, this light would be perfect. This is NOT a "do it all" light. But, i love it. This light is the perfect small spot light to throw in your vehicle or backpack. Just make sure you have something like a headlamp or a flashlight with more of a flood beam for stuff within 100m. I would HIGHLY recommend a Fenix PD36R for the close and mid range tasks.. it has the best all around (usable) beam pattern of any flashlight I've owned.Summary: BUY IT. Best compact spot light on the market. Also, Buy a Fenix PD36R.. OR, If you want something that is right in between the two.. get the Nitecore MH25S. It has incredible throw, but a small form factor that actually fits in your pocket.

Great Flashlight!
Great flashlight! Excellent at night in our wooded areas. And we appreciate the ability to charge the batteries using my computer!

If you are looking for a search/spotlight this is it.
This thing can definitely throw the advertised distance. If you are looking for a search/spot light that can shine through the darkness of night this will handle that task well. The light/lens housing is large compared to the short handle making it a bit unbalanced. One handed operation is simple enough with the tail end switch to turn on, then using the button located on the head for toggling through the modes. The USB charging port is a plus these days since I can charge it in the car and with my solar charger when out in the wilderness. Can't say much for the longevity of the product but from previous product experience, I'm sure it will last through the many drops, submersions, and wet/damp environments I've subjects my other lights through.

Failed after less than a year.
This is an extremely bright and compact spotlight. It throws extremely far at even the lower settings, on it's highest setting it's something to behold. That being said it stopped working after very light use and no harsh conditions after only 8 months. One day I noticed the light had turned on strobe on it's own after just sitting on a shelf... I thought that was strange because it only strobes with the gun mount buttons attached, which were not. I replaced the battery and the same thing happened. The buttons are no longer functional and it just constantly switching to strobe, rendering it completely useless.I contacted Nitecore about this and they told me because it was purchased on Amazon they would not honor their warranty (through an authorized dealer mind you). Extremely disappointed with Nitecore. I have used many of their products for years and had no issues but this time I've essentially spent $139.00 to shine this light around in my backyard a few times for it to stop working and they have not backed their product at all.
