I purchased this and it works great. I received my order quickly (2 days) and it was packaged in a clear cellophanish (yes, I know that's not a word) package. I used it right away on my son's hair. It worked great. I moistened his hair with a leave-in conditioner and water mixture and applied some TGIN hair butter. Next, I sprayed a little water on the sponge. Not too much just to dampen slightly. I moved the sponge in a circular motion (lightly) around his head and ta-da! He had a head full of textured curls. I didn't want them to be twisted so I stopped after a couple of minutes of use. I like the side with the little humps the best. Overall, worked well and did actually provide textured look as advertisement suggests. I would purchase again. Also, love the follow up emails that I received from the company verifying receipt and a little blurb on how to properly use the sponge.

This my first time using a hair sponge on my hair. The "Parabirds Hair Sponge" is a good hair product. They style your hair into curls you can adjust with your fingers.( My hair is short and kinky) You get three different size sponges ( with different size holes in the sponges). Packaging is good and inside the package comes instruction on how the use the sponges on your hair. If or when I need new hair sponges I will reorder the "Parabirds Hair Sponge. Hope this information will be help to a few people.

They work nicely, as long as you don’t follow the hair product application method that is with it.

I decided to change my hair style a friend suggested putting my hair into twists. I tried another sponge and didn't get great results. I noticed that they add instructions for people like me who are trying to figure out how this works! After 10 minutes of doing it the RIGHT way, I saw better results. I can't speak to the durability yet but after a few days, the one I'm using is still in good shape. And I have two so I think I'm good.

This product does exactly as advertised, but after doing a little research online, I’ve found that you can get the same affect just by gently rotating a regular hair brush across your fro the same way you use these. I’d recommend doing it that way as the sponge tends to take moisture from your hair and is also more abrasive than a hair brush. These aren’t very easy to clean either and hold lint. After a couple of months, one of the sponges has started to tear away from the base that it’s glued on to.

The hair sponge worked as advertised. My nine year old wanted the Odell look. We already gave him the dirty blond streak so all that was left was the curls. Thanks to Ruby for the instructions on how to use the sponge. I followed her instructions to a T and he looks great. My son was amazed at the results. Very easy to use. I highly recommend the hair sponge for curling or twisting hair. It worked so well that we got to do one of my sons friends hair too. Thanks again to Ms. Ruby Naz for all of your help.

I ordered these and wasn't sure if they would be high quality. However they are really good and serve their purpose. They are not cheap and do not fall apart under use. I will recommend and I will purchase again. Back with three sponges I will need to.

Product more or less works as advertised, it's pretty simple. Do your best to keep at it for 5-8 minutes in the same direction before looking for real results.Side note - works differently for different hair types. My hair is naturally curly, and I get long lasting curls when using this sponge. They are typically tighter and more defined than curls I get just using gel. That being said, my hair does not "twist" like people who have kinky hair, so results will vary depending on your hairstyle. Also do not try to use if your hair is WET; slightly damp means your should barely be able to feel the dampness at all. Also note that the holes are on the larger side, therefore your twists or curls will be larger than if you used a brush with smaller holes.As far as the value, it seems to hold together well. Haven't had any problems with the adhesive coming apart like I've seen with some other brands.Overall would recommend.
