GE LED+ A19 Dusk to Dawn Outdoor Security Light Bulbs, Soft White, 2 Pack

These work from dusk to dawn. Used them for back porch & they are bright and come on like clock work. Great buy.

Working great, kicks on/off at dusk and dawn. Quality looks good. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but there are actually two light sensors, one on either side of the bulb. I accidently dropped one and it still works fine.

I have not had good luck with daylight sensing LED bulbs in the past, but it was either that or get two daylight sensing fixtures. Decided to spend the money and go with GE, since they are generally a safe bet. As you can see in the first picture, these bulbs do a good job of detecting daylight conditions. This was about 5pm on the NE corner of my house, under an eve, on an overcast day. Pretty lousy light conditions, but the bulbs (after their initial 5 minute warm-up when I first screwed them in) switched off just like they should. The sensors on this bulb are facing toward the camera and away (there are 2 sensors, 180 degrees from each other). The sensors on the other bulb are facing the wall of my house and out into the yard. I was worried that the positioning of the sensors would affect the bulb operation, but they seem to work no matter how you have them oriented. The next test was at night, to see if the light reflecting from the glass would fool the bulb into thinking it was daylight. Not a problem. The lights stay on without flicker, and are that pleasing warm yellow color. I don't know how long these will last, but I expect to get several years from them because they're GE. If I had to come up with something bad about these, I'd say they come on an hour or two before sunset, which is a bit too early for my liking. On the other hand they're on the darkest corner of the house, so I can't be too upset about that.

Worked perfectly just like it’s supposed to. Screwed in the lightbulb it flashed on and then off, turned on at dusk and off at dawn. Worth the price and you don’t have to bother hooking it up to any Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

Bought the jelly roll porch light, installed it, screwed this sensor bulb in and it works perfectly. Off at dawn and back on at dusk. The box indicated a cost of $1.02 a year in usage and last approx. 22 years.

Nice bulb that is a godsend for the back porch. Not having to remember to turn it on and off is great. Good color tone and brightness, and no flickering. Worked fine all through our most recent brutal winter season. Longevity is nowhere near the ridiculous lifespan claim though. At an average of 11 hours of use per day (dusk to dawn), roughly 21 months after installation in July 2024, the bulb failed today (April 2026).

Love that I leave my switches on and lights come on and shut off automatically at dusk and dawn. The ones I’m replacing lasted six years!!! well worth the money!

Placed on the outside of my north-facing garage. The East side light turns on and off slightly differently from the West side light due to the sunrise and sunset. However, not an issue for me. We have not had the -30 to -40 Degree Celcius temperatures this Winter, so I am not sure if the extreme cold affects them.

Have used Philips dusk to dawn bulbs with great success but Amazon was stocked out so I tried these from GE. The GE seem to require more direct sunlight in order to turn off. I have one in an area that is lightly shaded for much of the day and it it stays lit. I switched it to a Philips and it works as it should. I tried another GE to make certain it wasn’t just the one bulb malfunctioning, but it too stayed lit for most of the day. For my application, Philips is the way to go.
