If your factory steering is sloppy on your 3rd generation cummins, I highly recommend this box!!! This thing is pure beef compared to the factory box. Your steering will be on point! But you will need to upgrade the steeeing linkage that can be ordered off amazon as well. It's call 03-08 steering linkage upgrade. You will also need the bilsten shock that's recommended. Do NOT order the pitman arm. This steering box comes with the pitman arm that works with the steering linkage upgrade. You will also need a 1 13/16" socket for the pitman arm bolt

Dont think its tighter than original box when new. Looks very heavy duty. Springs to center with no play, but requires half inch movement left or right to change direction. All front end parts new, .1" toe in, new tires. For money, I should have gone to original box, stock tires, Ram 3500, 06, 175k miles. Kept original PS pump.

I guess this gear cost me $75more then expected

Great price, fast shipping and good customer service. I used this 2008 and up Dodge unit to upgrade the PS box on my older 2004 Doge 3500. Fit great with no additional modifications or pieces needed. Bolted right up to the frame, fit the original steering shaft and the new pitman arm fit everything.

Long overdue upgrade from the factory gear box on my 08 Dodge. This is the part that should have been on the truck originally. So much better to drive now

would have been perfect if i was asked if i needed a different pitman arm....totally uselessl on my truck . this was an item i had to get sent to an international country..now i have to order another pitman arm and wait for that to arrive
